Despite what some people said after we signed Paulinho, Soldado and Chadli..........it's going to go all the way to......

LEVYTIME.

Spurs_Bear:

"Just cannot get my head round people who have actually watched our two games, one against fodder and one against an average side, both games we have lacked creativity, a cutting edge, and pretty much a 'spark', that this proves we somehow mysteriously don't need Bale anymore"

Bale played for us against 'cannon fodder' last sesson and we still lost. We have half a new team and two games in you want to see Barcelonaesque footie. Why not just buy a season ticket to go watch Man Citeh....oh i forgot they too lost to 'cannon fodder' on Sunday.....

Great post.

I'm worried now as well.

Last week I was fine, like you, the prospect of Willian and Lamela coming in for Bale was really settling in....in fact I was liking it big time.

Alas no Willian. I'm nervous now as the closer this gets to deadline day, the more scope for it all going Pete Tong. And we've been down this road before. Not enough time etc....
Berbatov MK2 written all over it. Who'd you prefer ince or mcmanaman?

I think you're right. The only time I was ok with him leaving was when we thought we had willian and lamela lined up. I can't see how we benefit now. The way this has drsgged out I'm expecting it to pan out as a disaster for us

I don't think you can call any part of this window a disaster. Do you really believe that we will sell at the last minute with no replacement??? You can quote the Berbatov and Keane disasters of the past, but do you honestly believe the club hasn't learnt from that? Would Levy really spash out the kind of cash we have, build the best sqaud we have had in decades only to leave out the missing piece. I cannot see Bale going in the last hour of the window without a decent replacement already signed up.

The least we can expect is a a direct replacement (Lamela) or Bale staying, add that to the fantastic signings already and last years captures and i really cant see this being a disaster, more a bloody triumph. With the way things have been already this summer i can even see a few surprises coming in as well.

The noises from the club are soooo different than a few years ago, we seem to really mean business this year, and if as it seems, Bale has had a change of heart and now wants out, then i really think we will get the best possible replacements and move forward. The only shame being, that i think Bale would have been immense in this team.

If Madrid pay what we want at the last minute I believe levy will sell regardless of who we've signed

Last Mon-Wed was pure ecstasy - the ITKs were saying we had them nailed both on (W&L), there was certainly a buzz in the air indeed. What could have been indeed. Time is pressing now. I think Levy might need to hire a current or ex Russian mafioso to get the inside info on how crooked business works.

I agree with this unfortunately. Particularly if Bale's been continuing to play silly buggers up till that point.

I think we need some actual ITK, as much as it's nice to learn that Bale lives in Woodford Green. I'd actually like to know what the fuck is going on.
The thread is once again on the edge of a precipice, one false move and we'll descend into formations for Thursday night or how beautiful Natalie Sawyers boobs are (very).

I've checked COYS, it's a bit quiet but did hear that talkSPORT are reporting that after speaking to Barnett the Bale story is not true
I understand that Barnett apparently said Bale is not frustrated etc but does the bolded bit mean the whole "not showed up for training" thing is guff also?

Can't be. He's been told to fuck off on here too much for it not to be true

Haha as if talksport just reported what Ben posted earlier. They said they had heard bale said he's happy at spurs but that these opportunities don't come along often

This transfer window has been 'triffic' for Spurs so far. It is likely that we will get 2 or 3 more faces in by Monday. It doesn't matter when Bale goes either today or 10:55 pm next Monday, we will be stronger than we were last season.

That's my onion anyway

Surely Friday is d-day for Bale, what with La Liga's window closing on the 31st and not the 2nd like us. Or is that just bollocks?
