I'd still take Damiao for sure.

Soldado, Damiao, and Defoe as our three strikers. Yes please.

Take away the wage issue and the such, purely judging just the talent of the individuals, do you believe that Defoe and Leandro are better than Adebayor especially in a 1 up top formation?

Oh great, so we will have one hour to sweat after our window closes if we still haven't sold Bale. Tbh though, with how big this deal is money wise, doubt it will be a deadline day move if he is to go.
I think that's local time, so they close at the same time, could be wrong though :)

For those of you asking when the Spanish window closes, here's list from the daily fail:

Bulgarian Professional Football League: August 20, midnight.
Barclays Premier League: September 2, 11pm.
Bundesliga: September 2, 6pm.
Serie A: September 2, 11pm.
Eredivisie: September 2, midnight.
Liga Portugal: August 31, 6pm.
Russian Football Premier League: September 6, midnight.
Scottish Professional Football League: August 31, 11pm.
Swedish Football League: Transfer window closed August 11.
La Liga: September 2, midnight.

If that list is accurate (Daily Fail, so who knows) then we've missed our chance to sign Todor Nedelev.

Here's a cool link. Countdown clock for every league:

http://www.epfl-europeanleagues.com/leagues_transfer_window.htm

Note the asterisk by the Spanish one denoting it is a provisional date.

For what it's worth, a good mate is friends with a Spanish PR guy who works for both Malaga and Atletico. I asked him to check with his mate who said Aug 31st, but that La Liga will allow a couple more days if they are satisfied that the transfer negotiations are complete and just paperwork to sort out. In other words, Aug 31 unless you are Barca or RM!

No. That is the daily fail so they have forgotten (or don't care) that most of Western Europe is one hour ahead of the UK

Don't forget Bancrofts education for his brothers (other public schools are available)

I doubt this considering they don't play football at Bancrofts, it's a rugby school. There are three top public schools in the area, Chigwell, Bancrofts and Forest. Chigwell is considered by far the best all round so would make sense to be the destination

Never underestimate the power of the Levy on deadline day

I expect the next week to go mad for transfers, all the top 4 are still after players and Arsenal too. Id be surprised if £150-£200m wasn't spent in the next week and £50m of that will probably be us.

He's right you know. And that all happened with relatively low amounts of money involved.

If we're suddenly the proud owners of 90m then we might go so crazy that it's not out of the question that Spurs will accidentally sign A&C in all the chaos.

We'll know too. We'll be watching SSN (complaining about them the entire time) and somebody will post "did I just see something shaped similar to a butt plug?" and another poster will add "And I could swear it sparkled". And the next thing you know, the Goat will be posting "suck my Goat balls, I'm rich bitch. Goat OWT!"
