I'm seeing a lot of Soldado and Villa mentions today, are we seriously in for both? I'm not complaining but wow, that is ambitious! If Levy pulls that off I think nobody has the right to berate him over signings this window, what with Paulinho coming in too.

My concern is timing on these transfers. If we get Soldado first I can really see Valencia trying to get Villa to return, and I reckon he'd go back there over us too. I think tying up Villa first would be easier, Soldado is one I can see dragging on 'til deadline day.

Be very surprised if we signed both Villa and Soldado, if we did that'll mean playing Villa out wide left but he will want to play in the centre.

Pretty sure nothing will be announced until Paul's had his medical, my guess would be Thursday/Friday on the OS. David Villa could possibly be a few days later. Paulinho should be done in time for the kit launch and let's hope DV is too. Anyway my guess is Paul Friday morning and Dave sometime on Monday.

well...thats torn it. I've told some of the boys in my U8's team that we're signing Paulinho and Villa now so it better happen or I'm going to like a right plum...more so than normal!

As if they'd really believe that Paulinho & Villa would sign for your U8's team anyway!! ... *is now betting many people have already said this & I look like a complete twat, again*

Unless they want to get the deals done fast so they can go on their holidays? Your version sounds sensible enough to be true though which would be fine with me as long as we have their signatures on something more official than a napkin.

The article confirms Paulinho is leaving and says something about a contractual obligation with Spurs.

It is effectively official confirmation.

OS is down again, maybe some good news today? :nailbiting:

EDIT: Ok seems my internet connection was playing silly buggers with me, OS said it was broken, now it seems to be fine with no new shiny Paulinho, Villa, Croats etc. Damn, gone and done my load as well

Here's the Google translation:

On Monday (01), the cast corinthiano trained aiming the first decision of the Recopa Sudamericana against São Paulo, at Morumbi stadium at 21h50 on Wednesday (03). But who attracted media attention in CT Joaquim Grava was the wheel Paulinho, champion Confederations Cup with the Brazilian national team. The player said goodbye so thrilled the Timon and hit his move to Tottenham, England.

Elected third best player of the Confederations Cup and champion with the Brazilian national team in Rio de Janeiro, the player landed in São Paulo and was the CT Joaquim Grava on the afternoon of Monday (01), which gave a press conference announcing his farewell. For some contractual requirements of Tottenham, the wheel will not face the decision of São Paulo Recopa Sudamericana.

"It's hard to say at a time like this, but I'm sure there were three wonderful years in my career, achievements, working with the right people, consistent, who always helped me. What I have to talk to the Corinthians is goodbye. Pretty soon I'll be back. For everything you have done for me, "said Paulinho, in a very excited tone.

Contracted with Bragantino after Paulistão 2010, Paulinho logo stood out, masterfully took the shirt 8 and became an essential piece in midfield alvinegro, always scoring lots of goals and accomplishing great assists. Won the Brasileirão 2011, the Libertadores and World Cup in 2012, and Paulistão 2013. In 167 games, scored 34 goals.

Thanks, Paulinho!

Basically, it says that the bid has been accepted, Paulinho is leaving and there has just a few contractual points to be sorted before it is official.

OMFG. If we sign Soldado, I might just explode with happiness. My hugest football crush of the past few yrs. It'll be another VDV moment. A player you have lusted after for yonks but never thought would sign.

Obviously this is just press guff right now but seriously, I'd even forego Villa (happily forego him in fact) for us to sign Soldado.

It confirms he's leaving that there is a contract between Corinthians and Spurs (who happen to be both my two teams).

Happy days.
