Like i said, if LLM hadn't already as good as assured the MODS that his info was kosher, do you think they'd have allowed him to continue to post it so freely whilst they continue to work on getting that final piece of verification?

We're just having a bit of trouble trying to confirm some thing he's told us. He's being very helpful but there's obviously some stuff he can't divulge even to use privately and that's just making it a bit difficult to verify him. We're all talking trying to come up with a compromise which would let us put his stuff in the RO without risking things for him.

For now his stuff doesn't go in the RO but please show him the same respect you show the other people passing on information.

Sounds like there isn't a LLM consensus at the moment.
If this was an important issue I'd suggest we need clarification down here in the cheap seats.

We've explained several times now that we've not been able to confirm a few things LLM's told us but we're working together to try and make sure we're all happy.

If some of the stuff he's told us does come off that obviously helps a lot.

But people are showing him the same respect, we dont want to get like COYS where the only way you are allowed to respond to an 'ITK' is with:

If people don't think his posts stack up then they have a right to question it, he seems to be taking it in good stead anyway. I haven't actually seen anyone call him a WUM. If they have then that's a bit much. The only comment I made was the one about the moderator marking two of his posts with 'disagree'. Do you not think that's a bit odd Coopsie?

Hmm I think you've misinterpreted that somewhat.

There's not a single sensitive issue like you seem to think. LLM gave us some info but we couldn't verify it so currently he's not been "verified" for the RO. He understands why this was and we appreciate he can't give us all the info we'd like in order to verify him as some of it would put his sources at risk.

As I said, please treat his posts with the same respect as everyone else and we'll work on trying to get him verified but it might take a while. Obviously stuff like Les taking the job would help his case a lot so hopefully we'll see movement on that.

Same, it's bugging me. From what I've read seen Chadli is no bad player by any means which is why it's stumping me, Bernard seemed the obvious plan A. Unless we've given up and already moved onto plan B? But that would contradict all recent ITK on him,.

Exactly! Maybe I have myself to blame a little for getting unrealistically excited with the idea of Bernard for over a month now but he still seams the absolute perfect match for us both with his skill set and age. But as u say, dates on recent ITK suggest that we are still looking at plan A and Chadli is very much plan B... I wonder who it could be, I am struggling to think of many better young inside left midfielders who are as good, young and attainable as Bernard that would be considered a plan A.

Absolutely. Managers and chairmen will often lie to journalists. I've rung managers and asked about players signing and been told "no chance", only for them to be at the training ground holding the shirt up the following day.
I think it was Nigel Melville who rounded on one of my colleagues and accused him of being a liar for reporting that Melville was signing Mike Tindall for Gloucester, and Gloucester signed Tindall the next day. Clubs use newspapers to get the line out they want, and if The Journalist is a journalist , he could be being fed a line by the club here.

Yeah it's strange, I mean it would have to be someone completely left field as a Plan A?

I'm still (naively) going to harbour some belief in the fact we may still be in for Bernard... At least until we hear what he has to say for himself in terms of transfers on the 25th after the Libertadores is finished.
