One of the reasons I'd guess he's said nothing as he doesnt want to piss off either side. Seems to me perhaps he's happy to stay another year and has already agreed to do so (levys not gonna have a maybe left hanging), but he also wants to play in Madrid in the near future.... which is why it was nice and quiet.... but when Madrid start pushing and if reports are to believed say its now or never Bale and his agent have to been seen for Madrid to be kicking up a fuss, but not so much Bale is ever caught saying anything one way or other.

I think he might just sign a new contract, but Madrid will be led to believe Levy gave him no choice. All about not burning bridges

Right, not poo pooing Gards info however - Sandro posted a pic on Instagram 5 hours ago saying "good morning I'm home", so I will assume the spurs entourage landed in Blighty at about 6.45 ish this morning. Now a direct flight back from Hong Kong is around 13 and half hours. Do we think Bale will be rocking up at the training ground, he is gonna be cream crackered! Considering they are 7 hours ahead over there is is gonna be jet lagged, well one assumes.

If the other ITK is to be believed, that Levy is leaving the country, who would Bale/parents/agent be going to see, if this is for crunch talks then Levy would be required surely??

Maybe I'm looking at it with my blue and white tinted glasses on. But I would have thought 'quotes' being attributed to him via Marca, that are clearly regurgitated and completely false, would be something Bale would want to clear up.

Yes, this is all good for him with regards to negotiating a new contract. But from a selfish point of view, it can only damage our preparations as Levy et al have to spend time dealing with his agent and the media hysteria, rather than on potential new targets and getting rid of dead wood.

Id have thought as the 'quotes' (and I use this term loosely) came about when he was away from his agent and advisors, the best advice would be to keep quiet. Hence maybe thats why the rumours of him and family being at the training ground would potentially indicate he needs to be briefed on how to handle this, as well as his folks. Remember, he is essentially a very young man who has never experienced this kind of attention - Id bet good money on his agent advising him to keep his head down and mouth shut until he has been able to speak to him directly.

I would say its very positive Levy is not there, if he was then 'crunch talks' would have been far more likely.

Yeah, I would hope this is all a storm in a tea cup. I just think, especially with AVB refusing to comment on the speculation, most of what's been happening is just fanning the flames.

We need this story nipped in the bud asap.

Does Levy's reputation throughout the football world work for or against us?

Is it part of the reason why the club find it so difficult to offload the deadwood.... Bentley, Gomes, previously Jenas, etc.?

Does it mean that selling clubs would prefer to do business with other chairmen, to the extent that we miss out on potential deals?
