I'll check later but last time I looked the value was quite a bit less than £100/month and something in the ballpark of 20-40 people. Lots of people cancel their subscriptions after a few months (which is completely understandable, situations change).

I've just checked and my monthly payments stopped a while ago without me realising . It's probably because my card linked to my PayPal account expired. I don't use PayPal for anything other than my SC payments so never think to look in there. I've just set up a new monthly payment, but I wonder how many other people don't realise their payments have stopped.

Could we have a thread where people can discuss their monthly payments? Maybe we could get an idea of who thinks they're donating each month and see if it's more than the twenty to forty people that are actually sending money.

Really..... I donate whenever there's a shout out and if possible.... This is first time I've felt the need to post about it! Only because you want a fucking 🏅 It's called a donation for a reason.... yes I'd subscribe, but not all can.... Sorry to be a grinch. Thanks Rob and staff, great site, extremely well run.... 🤔You'll ask for donations every month now.... I didn't think that through 😁

give the guy a break. It’s to encourage donations not to be Billy Big Bollox.

With all the new ones today it's closer to 70 people now which is great and very much appreciated!

Donated monthly for nearly ten years. I'll try to get that set up again in the near future. 🙏

Apologies for the pause. But ya know… getting my son thru uni takes a slight priority over SC! 😂

I didn't realise so few donated to this forum!
Set up a monthly donation, as I do, as little as you like or as much as you can.

I better check mine then.
I set it up yonks ago and it's only for a quid a month but I wasn't working at the time and figured that was better than nothing.
It's the one and only time I've ever used PayPal so I'm off to check it's still running and I may even up the amount!

@Rob With the flurry of activity this week and everyone so thirsty, are you able to show any hosting stats for us nerds, and why donations are needed? Maybe normal usage v transfer windows?

Activity, page hits, bandwidth, concurrent users logged on.. graphs, maybe even a sexy pie chart!?

🙂

I’m usually a bit OTT and give a nice donation but with day care costs (24k a year in london per kid!!) and some house repairs this is a horrible month. I’ll give you guys a deserved donation when the next pay cheque hits.
Well done to everyone who keeps this place going both directly and indirectly.

Long time lurker that hasn't been able to donate previously because Paypal don't allow donations from NZ.
But today I figured out a way around that......I just changed the region to Australia (it's just next door after all), put in a random Aussie address and my own number with the Australian country code and it worked.
So if you can't donate through Paypal in your country just pick one that you can donate from!
