The only thing I can think of is that we haven't invested as we should have done due to how many question marks hang over the club.

Will Conte still be with us in 6 months?!
Will Levy still be in charge?!
Will be be subject to a full takeover?! Will we have a small % investment?! Will Kane still be with us?! Will Paratici still be here?!

So many unknowns and much like Liverpool, I guess the club aren't willing to spend more money when there are so many uncertainties hanging over the club.

I am in complete agreement with you, it's a shambles year after year, every window the same issues. It won't change until Levy goes and we have some serious investment or change of ownership.

Every window I'm sucked in with optimism and believing what I'm told about the business we plan to do. Yet we ALWAYS fall short of what we need. Danjuma in and Gil out means we have no further attacking options from the bench if needed. Yes Danjuma gives us a pace option, but he's currently a complete unknown as to how he will settle. Porro is a fantastic addition and credit where it's due, without Levy it wouldn't have happened. But does Levy feel that's enough to save his skin and some fan backlash for the next few months?! Well it isn't anywhere near enough, because our main problems are GK and CBs and we have addressed none of them.

Porro is a fantastic addition, I'm very excited that he's joined us. But when we continue to see mistake after mistake for the remainder of the season from the same players, well the club only have themselves to blame for where we end up. It's going to take a Conte masterclass to get us top 4.

Rant over, COYS!
Porro I think is a fantastic signing and will do well here regardless of who is in charge. Which is probably why Levy was happy to sanction the deal. But honestly the Danjuma one still perplexes me a little. In the summer window we really needed a RWF to rotate with Kulu, fast forward to this window and it was even more apparent due to his injuries but instead we bring in a third LWF option. I honestly don’t quite get it, especially after we had just spent 60 mil on a player who’s appeal was that he can play both LWF and CF yet maybe had 2 games at LWF for us. Maybe. And then we loan out our only other left footer leaving Lucas the back up to Kulu who’s played maybe 2 or 3 games all season.

Now this has nothing to do with my opinions on Danjuma as a player, he looked good in his brief cameo and I hope he’s a success here. It just baffles me as a transfer and sort of signals a complete lack of strategy when we are at a stage as a club where we need a clear defined strategy more then anything because we are very much looking like a team that is aimlessly drifting the majority of the time. Especially if next summer brings yet another reset. And that’s not even to mention the back line + goalkeeper situation which is a travesty in of itself.

Personally I found it rather frustrating window yet again and i don’t feel any more assured of our future then I did a few weeks ago. Still, Porro was a great buy.

That Lucas replacement is temporary too
He’s as temporary as Kulusevski was a year ago. An option to buy only means that we have a chance to buy him at a pre set price if he does well and no future downside if he does poorly and we don’t want to sign him permanently.

Feel free to be as negative as you want about all things Tottenham but using an option to buy clause as a reason to be angry at the ownership is absurd.

Wouldn't surprise me if the club looked on here, realised that we couldn't have 9 out on loan and terminated his contract. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised with how we are run.
Given we literally announced his loan earlier in the day with specifically no obligation to buy, yeah surely it has to be that.

When we switched Porro to a loan last minute we forgot about the new rule and just now realised we had to do something to stay within the new regulations so we cancelled the contract or our least valuable loan player.

Absolute shambles.

Could have just bought Porro in early January and sold Doc for a few quid.

Our transfer work is fucking abysmal.

Paratici: "It's fine to break these loan rules right?"
Levy: "For the love of god, stop breaking the law!"

Surely then we keep Doherty?!

I’d rather play him on the left than Sessegnon for a start!

Really bizarre and schoolboy stuff today from Spurs

Well if Porro doesn’t get completed, Emerson is the only senior right back at the club now!

That’s why we haven’t heard we’ve finished our business because we were fucking about breaking rules and wondering how we get around it!
