"Record Points"...........didn't win us any prizes did it? so you point is exactly what?

The only "bile" i actually witnessed was a thrashing at Man Citeh and anothe at home to the Bin Dippers. Perhaps your love in with AVB has over coloured those rose tinted glasses you are wearing.

So again, are your just going to completely ignore the record points he got us that in any other year would have gotten us CL had Arsenal went on an absurd run of form(thank you refs, fucking twats) that got them 27/30 points? There was not much we could have done about that.

Things fell apart this year. Mistakes were made by both AVB and the front office. That is it. All there is to say.

AVB is no longer here. Stop fucking dwelling on the past. Drop your hate, and everyone else drop your love. The man is no longer here. Lets just at least show some fucking respect for what he did last year, FFS.

Yes.

West Ham went down with 42 points. Do you know where Stoke ended up with the same points haul a season or so later? ............11th

So again i ask what a "record points haul" means when you actually win fuck all? Pray tell?

The previous Manager actually finished in a CL qualifying spot (4th), but for Chel$ea winning the CL, but he was fired?

Your argument has no validity in a game where the finishing position dictates prizes not the fucking points total.

We had the opportunity to become a top club under harry, though he was partially successful the following year city came along and also we did screw up ourselves. Then under Avb even our record points tally wasn't enough. This year was a golden opportunity but we blew it big time. We spent the money on Holtby Eriksen Chadli Capoue only because their contracts were running down and they all have a resale value. We have 7 attacking midfielders none of whom can play on the left wing. Our transfer system has been a disaster. Now along with city and chelsea even pool arsenal everton have started to play well. I'm sure united will spend millions to challenge for the title sooner or later. This sounds pessimistic but the reality is that we have lost the opportunity to be a top 4 club and may even a title challenging club from there on

Steady on.

It's pretty obvious that what a record points total means is that the team got better results over a season than they've ever got before.

The fact it was insufficient to achieve one of our aims doesn't make it meaningless. And certainly not to the extent that you seem so irate about.

For someone who seems so singularly motivated by prizes, it's worth remembering Bruce Forsyth's wise words about what makes them...
