Magrone seems to have started work in February as far as I can tell.
Interestingly his website lists that he's worked with Tim Sherwood before so maybe he's part of Sherwood's clique and has been overlooked for this scout job by a Baldini / Villas Boas appointment.

Didn't we get to the bottom of the Swedish scout numpty thing yesterday? It was referring to another tweeter who claims to be a scout who knows DE, who gave some info about Bernard iirc.

JJ has clarified this morning that he is actually working for us, and was appointed by Darren Eales as he is his friend. Oh and he worked in Sweden, but it not actually Swedish.

Also said that Wiki doesn't paint him in a good light and mentioned on Twitter that he has only ever worked in the second division.

As a Crawley follower I can tell you reuniting Matt Tubbs and Tyrone Barnett up front with Sergio Torres the creative spark and Dean Howell whipping in crosses from left back. Title winning material.

Hi everybody, I have a rather opportunistic piece of ITK (don't shoot the messenger!). I just bumped into Danny Rose in the Duty Free, like me he is travelling to Vegas (he's staying in the Wynn). I asked him whether he will be at Spurs next season, he said he didn't know and will find out at the first training session next month. He said he really enjoyed his time at Sunderland and "wants to move back up north" so make of that what you will. I said I personally felt we'd keep him, to which he replied "thanks mate". Overall he was a really nice guy, really polite and was asking me questions about my upcoming holiday. Sorry I couldn't get anything else!
