Great day apart from the blatant bandwagon jumping from some people. Can't we just enjoy it without people trying to claim pointless internet 'wins' by stating the obvious?

SO, just got back from work - having been called in halfway through a day off! I wish I wasn't so awesome sometimes.

Anyhoo, Eriksen and Coentrao would just about round off the transfer window of the millennium for this club.

Schalke have today bought Kevin Prince Boateng from AC Milan, so unless that's their entire budget gone in one, obviously not skint.

Thanks mate. Surprised no one has seen him enter or exit Hotspur Way. Maybe he is still there signing the contract.

Considering no one has seen him, does anyone think there is some sort of Harry Potter-esque entrance into the training ground? Maybe they flush themselves down toilets in Harry Potter- if Bale tries to do it, he can stay in the fucking toilet.

There are two entrances - the one that SSN have now permanently stationed themselves at, and another one a few hundred yards further up Whitewebbs Lane.

The other entrance is currently used mainly for lorries/JCBs etc. but I imagine it's occasionally used to sneak players in & out.

Coentrao will be overpriced because Bale is overpriced. It's the price you pay when you hold out for top dollar but want a player from the club you're selling too.

When i first mentioned lennon could be off alot of people said it surely wouldnt be the case! Now with the new signing of lamela and Erik, and young Townsend stepping up does he really have a place? He wont be happy to sit on the bench

You could be right about Lennon. The interesting thing about Lennon is that he is the only winger after Bale goes who is only confortable as an outside winger. Everyone else seems to prefer coming infield onto their favoured foot. They can also play on the other side but I think it works better when you have infield wingers with overlapping fullbacks.

Lennon is too limited and although I am happy for him to stay I would not be surprised to see him sold.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. KPB was one of the leading players at Milan. The perfect partner for Sandro - the two of them would cause some teams to forfeit matches.

Schalke are in for adebayour but there is a few problems

1, They don't have the cash so are looking at a loan deal but levy wants a sale

2, adebayour isn't that interested and wants to see if anybody else comes in for him

this isn't itk just some info passed from a mate

They are in cl... top 4 team in bundesliga... why he is not interested is beyond me !! :\

I wouldn't read anything into his squad number. Rose was given 3 at the start of last season (when Bale switched to 11) but was then sent straight out on loan.

Oh fair enough, guess I musta missed that. Still think he'll be second choice at worst though. Unless he pushes for a move if we bring a new LB in.

Personally think these extra signings will be for the future now. Somebody of the Halilovic/Vadillo ilk that we've been linked with so far.

Would still like Coentrao but if we can't get him then I can understand not signing anybody else. If Ade goes then maybe another striker will come although that could be covered by the signing for the future too.

Insanity over Coentrao if true. More needed than any player bar Soldado we've bought this summer. May be the wages in relation to Lloris and Verts that's the issue, mind.

Really don't get this. I know AVB might not think Benny's attitude is right , but up to his injury he was the third best LB in the prem and Rose is still young enough to improve with the talent around him he will continue to learn. Apart from someone to stick the ball in the net from inside the box (Soldado) the biggest gap was a creator and with eriksen and Holtby I think we have that now.

For me another striker is paramount, don't really care who he replaces Defoe or Adebayor, but we do need proper cover for Soldado.
