Just watched the Bales best goals on BBC sport website. Id almost forgotten in all the chaos. I genuinely wish him all the best at Madrid, he has put us more on the map, and his sale has facilitated us having our best team in recent history.

Hope he hits the ground running and shows the fickle Madrid fans what a incredible player he is. See you in the CL next season bud!

Not sure if it's the same in the UK, but Friday evening is generally when teams in the States announce negative news, as it gets swept away with the weekend. Would be a good plan, me thinks.

Apparently all the news outlets have been told that the Bale deal is finalised and are awaiting the go ahead to announce. Presumably clubs are putting ducks in a row in order to synchronise their own announcements/websites etc.
