Surely by now Madrid must be confident enough/have enough evidence that the Bale deal is going ahead to sanction other sales if they wanted to, or at the very least negotiate the deals to the point where they are ready to sign contracts

They might well have and they probably could, but maybe Levy is using the 'special relationship' that Madrid have not adhered to at all, to make sure none of our rivals get the rub of the green from the Bale transfer.

It's not about Willian. It's about the way that incident has cast a huge shadow of doubt over any deal less than 100% done.
i politely disagree. it was an exceptional situation and one unlikely to occur again for some time at our club, if any. the factors.....(two chummy Russian owners [one of a dodgy club in meltdown, one of a dodgy club with more money than sense], the most disgraceful agent in the game, and a mercenary money-grabbing player who AVB happened to try [AND FAIL because of money] to sign at Chelsea, whom he may have had a slight added bias to want to train as he is a natural Portuguese speaker).....are SO specific and unlikely and yet they managed to cause a perfect storm.
regarding your point, there should be a huge shadow of doubt with any ITK, regardless of what % done it might be. Lamela is done on the Italian Borse, and yet some will still have their doubts until it is on the OS....
i'm just saying, i think people got far too excited about Willian and it's easier to take frustrations out on ITK as they are more accessible to people on here than the clubs or the player himself.

edit: there is of course the theory that AVB knew all along that troublemaker Willian and greedy Kia would choose money and status over personal development and a starting place to aid WC chances and warned DL. in that theory, DL engineered a distraction strategy where Chelsea would pay even more for a player they didn't need while we went hard at (Lamela and) Eriksen. it sounds far fetched, but if Kia knew of Chelsea's interest prior to that fateful day, you can bet DL did too!

It is not really hilarious. It is a valid point that integrating so many players is not easy. However, that is what we are paying AVB and his team for.

What would that prick know about integrating more than one player at a time into a team?...............

Theoretically Lamela and Eriksen could be registered right now and not announced until their names are published on the team sheet on Sunday. There is no rule stating a club has to inform the public when signings are made.

I also have a feeling that one of these may be being lined up for the No.11 shirt, and one for the No.10 - that would mean a hold-up on announcements as the club might want to sort final bits of Bale deal AND see where they get to with Ade before making the announcement.

Obviously if Ade doesn't want to go or in the unlikely event of Bale deal not being finalised, Lamela and Eriksen would have to be given different numbers. But I bet the aim is to give them those two shirts if possible...

How did we get to 21 pages with Zero ITK, for today, in the RO??

You and I just demonstrated that nicely...

Why are people so freaked out, btw, we've already announced yet another signing today and Lamela looks dead certain to come one top of that, considering it's been announced by the selling club already. You guys know how slow the OS is..

Yes...but as some of us cynical ****s have said from the off, we were always going to sell Bale in my opinion.

Please do NOT drag us back into the merits, varifi-fucking-cation on if Bale was, could be, should be, is possibly being sold. That fucking dog has long ago run off.........

Next!

Not sure why people are getting in a tizzy over Lamela ?

It'll happen when it happens, you should all be pleased and safe in the knowledge that it will be occurring within the next three days !
