Yesterday afternoon, I had just completed the Spurs stadium tour and was about to start the Sky Walk, when I received the news that my mother had lost her battle with cancer.
I abandoned the Sky Walk and drove to my parents house.

Spurs Community has been my solace during a difficult 2023 and I have just donated £50
My heart goes out to you and your family in your time of loss. Hopefully the grief will gradually be replaced by memories of special times spent together.

When you lose a parent it hurts badly. But over time the pain fades and you are left only with the happy memories. Hang in there. It will get better.

Condolences to you and your family @kmk

When my mother died of cancer 2 years ago, this daft site gave me comfort. You will be able to smile again at the memories, but in the meantime this is good place to visit to swap (mostly) nonsense with friends you've never met.

To help it stay that way without bankrupting @Rob and with a respectful nod to your mum, I've just lobbed £100 into the coffers. (y)

Done that before, it raised 50p or so. We just don't have enough diverse traffic to really generate anything from that. Even Amazon (where I assume most people shop) makes us maybe £5 a month at best.

How about allowing companies to sponsor individual threads, they get to have a banner just under the name?

There is an edtech forum (http://www.edugeek.net/forums/) that raises money this way. (View it on a desktop)

Sincere condolences to you and your family. Losing your Mother is beyond heartbreaking. I'm glad SC can bring you a tiny bit of solace. Take care.
