LATE ENQUIRY!

WTF its only the 1st of August, seriously if Levy thinks this is going to calm the supporters he has really lost touch

The late bit is to do with the fact he's in negotiations with Newcastle.

But kin hell, on the cusp of losing Bale - not exactly the sort of signing you want to dream about.

Well I've already decided that Morata, Lamela and a LB (probably Coentrao as Andre is apparently in love with him) will come in to Spurs in addition to Bobby and for that to happen GB needs to go. So, off you fuck, Gareth.

Don't forget we need a CB as well now!

No no I think Madrid will get what they want because they have the bollocks to put the money where the mouth. But I am neither naive enough to think that we will sell and then not get caught pissing in the wind as usual.

Ok, personally I think Levys pretty good at getting the deals that he wants.

I'm sorry to say for #THFC fans but I think Gareth Bale is now likely to join Real Madrid. Not what I was told previously but things change.

If Bale goes, we need 3 big name signings to improve & to appease the fans.

Ideally we'd get Coentrao in the deal and then give £90m to Dortmund for Lewandowski, Reus & Gundagon.

That's what I'd do if I wanted to challenge fir the title and prove we mean business.

Realistically, we could be going for Lamela for £20m, Benteke £25m (cash upfront), Haliovic (sp?) £13m, Kurt Zouma £12m & still have £20m to cover wages.

I think we have to be a bit more strategic in our hiring policy.

If Bale goes, I'd want us to get 90+ and Coentrao.

With the money I'd look to buy Suarez (weaken Liverpool and stop Arsenal getting him), Mata (if reports are true that Mourinho isn't a fan, would weaken them IMO, so they try harder to get Rooney, which weakens them as well) and Lamela (potential to rise in value similar to Bale).

We'd possibly break even or outlay slightly more but we could field a title winning team.

Soldado

Suarez Mata Lamela

Dembele Paulinho

Coentrao Verts Kab Walker

Lloris

Sandro able to come in so we can rotate and go 433 when required.

I think those players would be interested in joining as well. Suarez just wants out and needs a change. Mata we nearly signed previously and is a simple lifestyle move for him. Lamela would be replacing Bale and earning more, which helps him no end.

Only Man City would be comparable/stronger.

Are you on crank mate?

I'm fine with that, if the thing that is changed is they have offered us an unimaginable amount of money for him. If it's because GB has kicked up a fuss and we've caved (unlikely) then that's not so cool.

I've gone right off getting Ancelloti as coach, after AVB wins everything for the next five years, now.

It'd certainly be surprising if RM handed the entire transfer fee over up front if they do eventually get Bale, but it'd be equally surprising if we paid the entire transfer fee up front for every player we bought. Get £100m in two installments? Pay Valencia for Soldado in two installments, it's the way it works, so nothing too much to worry about really....apart from actually losing Bale.

I'm only hoping this is because he knows Roma will need someone to replace Lamela, and Remy would be decent leverage. :cautious:

Things change, seriously take a look at even without Bale some of the players we have, hardly sub standard are they!
What are you basing that one? Cos I'm guessing you weren't at home against Fulham Norwich Chelsea WBA Wigan Stoke Sunderland and Southampton?

Lennon forwards siggy Parker were between poor and average last season. Dempsey redeemed his non existent game with some goals. Dembele was patchy.

We bored teams to submission.

Let's keep the players in discussion to those we've been linked with otherwise it just gets spammed in here with FM-esque talk.
I mean really Lewandowski, Reus and Gundogan? Get fucking real.

I was happy with Remy coming in when I thought Bale was staying as I thought we needed options, but we need to be aiming for the cream now to replace him and spending 6m on Remy now seems a little pointless

you think £20m would cover the wages, for the duration of contracts, for Lamela, Benteke, Haliovic and Kurt Zouma?

Spending all £90m on three players..? You insane. Lewandowski is just so never coming to us it's ridiculous. :wacky:

this is the reason the £85m means nothing to me, it's a load of money but we still can't get the best players with it so what's the point? we're just going to overpay for more decent players, we already have a squad full of decent players.
