We still have Stambouli, Paulinho, Dembele, Bentaleb, Capoue for 2 central midfield spots. Unless one of them goes I don't see us trying again for Schneiderlin. Especially as Poch has already apparently said he wants to trim down the squad.

We wouldn't have brought in Stambouli if MS was a goer.

Yep, it's very frustrating that we couldn't do a deal for MS when Southampton showed interest in Townsend a couple of weeks ago.

Very frustrating indeed.

Lets see what happens in the next few hours - but selling Sandro, injury record or or not, is a bitter pill to swallow. Getting MS would of explained it at least.
