FFT did a good writeup about him. I'll post in the player thread.

@Hoddle&Waddle said this in the Welbeck thread - I hope this happens:
No one's forcing you to sit in this thread you know.
don't know anything about stambouli so certainly not judging him, just common knowledge it usually takes time to adjust to the prem and from what we saw sunday we need much more.It is piss poor the attitude around stambouli signing, just because he is relatively unknown..still think MS could be a late one, but one shitty result and performance on Sunday and the tide turns..work in progress remember!!!
Been thinking this for a while, I would so much rather see a 3rd creative player on the left rather then a wing forward. We just don't creat enough at the moment, one reason Ade drops deep so often. Which we would be looking at one but as u say it no links. Not sure Jay Rod or Danny W are the answers. We seriously lack creativity if Lamela or Eriksen get injured/tired.
It's a long season and after selling both Siggy and Holtby I don't think we'll cope creatively atm - need to sign an attacking player who can make things happen now, but no real links to any, which is worrying.
Welbeck will make a big difference to our first team - especially in the big matches.
Keith Morris - Totally agree. We didn't play well on Sunday (obviously) but one day we're going to have to get over this short-termism and accept that to build something decent we're going to have to go through some ups and downs, especially when the manager's only been here five minutes.
As for Stambouli, there's no need for the negativity but perhaps some people are just a bit confused about some of the players we're allowing to leave. I genuinely have no idea about Stam. All I know is he's a now a Spur and that means he's got my backing.
Would just be nice to make a signing that excited people. Very ordinary, unspectacular signings so far.

Fazio, Davies and the "attacking player" are all potential starters...If someone would've said three months ago we'd sell Sandro, sell Sigurdsson, and loan Holtby to Hamburg, while only bringing in Benjamin Stambouli, people here would've been incredulous. Even though there is time to bring in another attacking player, I don't feel we've upgraded the starting XI at all this window, which was what everyone was calling for in May ("quality instead of quantity"). We've done nothing to this point to address the squad's inability to score goals against the top 4 sides (in fact we've gotten worse to this point having sold two attacking players in Holtby/Sigurdsson).
The other issue is losing Sandro, Sigurdsson, and Holtby is going to impact the quality of our Europa and domestic cup sides. We don't have an easy EL group and rolling out Townsend and Lennon as starters is going to potentially result in an exit for us early in the knockout stages.
