Have we actually bought any first team players this window?! Hmmm no.

2 seasons of bang average players. And they wonder why we can't get CL aha

Difference is we will most probably sack Poch if he finished 8th, or he will walk.
ABSOLUTELY i said this a few pages back. its all very good having a 5 year plan but we've had a 5 year plan for years and each manager has been sacked before that 5 year plan was seen out we are a top 7 side miles off of the top 4 again and the board must realise this and accept it if they cant then they need to get out of football. yes we have a new training facility and are finally going to build a stadium but until we build it we will tread water. will Levy finally accept we cannot compete with the cheaper option?...i don't think he will Poch will be fired as all before him have and a "new" 5 year plan will be put into motion.
I really hope im wrong but history predicts the same fate for Poch.

An attempt at a different view of this-----
In Dier and Fazio we have strengthened an area we were poor in and Dier has shown good potential at RB.
In Yedlin we have a low risk investment that might turn in to something special. Worth the gamble.
Ben Davies is about as good a left back as we were likely to get.
Vorm is the perfect understudy to the best keeper in the prem.
Benji thingy is an unknown to most of us but, by all accounts is closer to the type of robust ball player that Poch likes.
We still have Bentaleb, capoue,
Dembele and Paulinho plus him for two cmid berths. That's strong in anyone's book.

Sandro, Dawson, Siggy, Holtby - good lads but not going to take us further. The squad is not poorer now they've gone- at all.

We should've signed a striker- no question and we have a void of leaders but it's time for others to step up and create a new identity under Poch.

Now the dust has settled and everyone is more realistic.. It's really not a suicide enducing window is it?

Although..... he should've got a striker....

Based on the fact that I think we lack goals and creativity in the forward positions, and that I'm disappointed that we didn't do more to address that/weren't more successful in any efforts we made to do so (of which we only really know about a failed attempt for Welbeck). And the fact that there isn't an absolute 'right' way to strike the balance between success on the field now and long-term sustainability, and that my opinion is that we're a shade too much in the 'saving for tomorrow' camp which may ultimately end up costing us long term. But it's all onions, as you well know.

You don't have a monopoly on considered, reasonable opinions on the Club. People at the extremes of pessimism and optimism are usually barking up the wrong tree, but there are other valid points of view in the middle that don't agree with yours.

We don't need to score a lot. All we need is score 1 goal every game if our defence don't concede.

So never mind net spend. It was profit-taking today. A little early - as this usually happens in January. Good business for the Club. More money in the coffers. The start of a five year plan. Of course it made no sense to try and improve the first team - Spurs opponents are just beyond us. We have a first-rate coach who will transform our current group of players into world beaters.

Hull & QPR have stupid, spend-thrift owners.

Spurs is a well-run club where making a profit is the paramount objective. We should be proud of that.

I think Pochettino now knows what it means to be Levied. AVB knows what that means. The tradition continues.

But the Club is making money. And we should all be pleased with that.

Again, not the info we have. How many times have we seen "Poch happy with squad". He's the one who matters after all.

Someone on FTL just posted that we've gone in big for the Soton guys. Not sure if rubbish or not...

Kinlol people making out Holtby bleeds Spurs just because he has an instagram account. I like Lewis, but we signed him a fortnight ago. FFS people.

You lot are so funny. Fans for the petro era, craving instant success.

Just bore off and support a team who can satisfy your needs for billion pound players. I support the club to watch us play football, not sign a player you can show off your knowledge about to your hipster mates over a pint of £6 craft lager.

Well now we will see whether Poch can turn some of our players to top notch performers. I mean JRod was hardly seen as such before Poch.

Don't get me wrong I'm disappointed we haven't strengthened in attacking areas. Not much we can do now though except get behind the likes of Fazio and Stambouli (and hope to god they turn out to be worldies lol)

yeah so madrid, united, city and barca can come in next season and take them off our hands with a nice fat fee and leave us lerking in europa again
