I don't understand this - has bassong gone? What is the point of another injury-prone, old, slow defender?

I know we're trying to keep costs under control but we have also apparently an option to keep Saha another season?

We're taking other club's deadwood?!

Louis Saha - fine. Pretty good backup for Adebayor and Defoe.
Ryan Nelsen - please no. Stay in Blackburn.

We are not worthy JJ, just hope you other info especially about Hazard comes to fruition...

I really hope Levy knows what the hell he's doing. If he didn't have such a good track record, I'd think he'd lost the plot.

Let's be realistic though, Nelsen is a more realistic 5th choice cb than Bassong. But like I said I'll be very surprised if he actually ever plays for spurs.

Trying to look at the positives, at least Nelson will bring more leadership if called upon than Bassong - other than that, it's a perplexing one for sure.

To be fair I think our hands are tied by Harry's future. He either gets sent down or gets the England job, hard to commit to permanent transfers when the next manager may not want them.

Stop gap measures before Remy/Hazard in the summer? If JJ is right, the summer could be the time where we really add the quality we need.
