And here's the news: The Transfer Window closes tonight bringing what Economists are calling the biggest boost to the UK economy that we will see this year, including the Olympic games.

Experts are predicting that the mystery virus Eyeteekayus Layzuslow will have run its course by 11pm tonight and mass returns to work and rises in productivity are anticipated. Rail, Bus and Tube companies have laid on extra trains to cope with the demand.

A consortium of charities, including Help the Aged, The RSPCA and Dr Bernardo's have been accused of 'Tapping Up' by Spurs Community as rumours persist of a bid by the consortium to headhunt A&C to raise funds for them.

A&C is quoted as saying 'fuck the charities, donate to Spurs Community instead'

Sky Sports News' resident Stoof lookalike Brian Swanson, has chubbied out his cheeks and sparkled his hampsteads in readiness for the big event and Deth Sharma has taken delivery of 400 mobile phones.

Jim White took a break from fingering Hayley McQueen to tell us that "Its the biggest sporting event of the year folks"

Hayley McQueen took a break from fingering the magnificently bosomed Natalie Sawyer to assure everyone that her tits were real.

Staff at Sky are currently playing 'guess who' by sniffing eachothers fingers. Kermit and Miss Piggy declined an offer to take part.

SSN's resident Yiddo, Clare Tomlinson vowed to stay professional after learning that Spurs had signed Louis Saha, although she was spotted shortly afterwards speeding toward Mill Hill carrying a sawn off shotgun.

In an evil twist, producers at Sky Sports News have raised the frequency with which the 'Breaking News' banner will swish across the screen. They are well aware that every time it does so, Spurs fans everywhere lean forward in eager anticipation. You may well hear giggling 'off air', so don't fall for it!

The BBC's live transferwatch will be closely monitored by 'journalists' at the Daily Mail who in turn will be monitored by BBC staff. Popular opinion is that both will disappear up their own arses in a puff of Blue and Yellow rumoursmoke.

As for the ITK's.......Well, that's anyone's guess.

Enjoy the day everyone and remember, don't get too annoyed when we sign no-one. Its been on the cards all month.

I got 99 problems son and the Spurs ain't one of 'em
WE RELY ON YOU TO DONATE AND HELP KEEP SC RUNNING!

Not the same without cotterill outside the lodge.

Anyway, SSN reporter just said Mandzukic, Hugo R, and Ade permanent most likely deals.

Still potential for Samba

Got the same feeling mate.......remember how I felt last jan and the summer....could be that same feeling I think

I think so too. Would be a massive shame if we didn't take advantage of the situation we find ourselves in. If we end up crashing and finishing 5th we'll look like right plonkers.

What was all that crap about last night in this thread where everyone kept asking others to delete their posts? Did someone 'give away' a signing? I read through it with some difficulty.

Lets keep everything crossed that we see some positive movement today, and really see us capitalising on our strongest league position for years. Even the difference between 3rd and 4th is key as this could determime when we start spending in the summer (i.e. we would not start spending before qualificaytion is guaranteed). Time to be brave and bold!! COYS.

I would be rather shocked if we signed anyone, though I really would love a striker and a centre-back as cover to give us a real chance to fend off Chelsea down the stretch for 3rd. While finishing 4th is our primary objective, I'd rather not have to deal with this team having a tough play-in fixture this summer again, which invariably means we make no transfer moves until we are completely assured of the future 25-30 million pounds that comes from full qualification in late August.

Chris Samba is someone I think would help us a lot. I think it's worth offering something in the neighborhood of 8 million for him and seeing if Blackburn will sell.

As for strikers, I was very disappointed to see New Castle grab Demba Cisse for 9 million pounds! He would've been a perfect #2 behind Adebayor for the rest of the season, and would be insurance in case we can't keep Ade long-term.

Rodallega is not any better than Pavlyuchenko, and is a waste of wages. Barrios or even Podolski would be terrific, but I don't think we have the continental wide mindset to necessarily bring them in at the moment. I think someone like Zamora is much more a Redknapp signing than either of the previous two.

It's interesting to note, that if we do nothing today, our cumulative outlay on incoming transfers in the last 4 windows will have been about 25 million pounds. To put that in perspective, Edin Dzeko, Luis Suarez, and Juan Mata all cost about that amount, alone!

Why would we have to sign Ade on a permanent in this window? Why not do it in the summer, we did have a buy-out-clause in the loan contract, right?

That will be that.

I don't see why the Ade move would be made permanent before the summer unless we were about to loan another player from City.

Why would he reduce his wage now when he could carry on getting paid what he does until the end of the season and assess his options then?

I am not really expecting anything much to happen, in all honesty I am totally shocked the likes of GDS, Pav, Bassong and one of Niko/Pienaar have not already been shipped out. I guess if not much happens departure wise there will be a mass exodus in the summer with us also needing to shift Gomez, Bentley and Jenas.

As for today, it looks like Corluka will be gone, hopefully Pav too with someone coming in (maybe Nilmar as part of a GDS deal)

Hopefully a loan from Juve too (seeing as we went to the trouble of making our over loan from them permanent)

Not expecting big moves today, if any, but then the market as a whole seems very quiet, perhaps we are finally seeing the fair play rules in action (will this make Arsenal the kings spending wise in the future with their turn over and low expenditure?)

Lets hope something somewhere happens soon to kick everything off - but I'm not getrting my hopes up.

I will, however, be frequently F5ing.
