I think I might have preferred a slightly quieter window. Really hoping we have something lined up to be letting Stevie P. go, the guy has had no luck whatsoever.

Saha for Pav, I can understand and live with. I can understand the Bassong one too, but feel Nelsen is a huge risk despite the qualities he has as a leader and a tough bastard who has huge experience. Both of these signings with injury issues are fucking MASSIVE gambles, especially considering the very strong position we're in.

Someone exciting like Krasic would have been sweeter, Stevie P. leaving leaves a bitter aftertaste to the latest in successive transfer windows that IMO haven't particularly whet the appetite and certainly don't show too much ambition.

Hope lady luck is on our side and we look back in this as a masterstroke, but to be honest I'm now a tiny bit worried.

Only one I am against is Nelsen although of course he will get my full support if he plays

He has played 1 game in a year and only 3 weeks ago flew to NZ for specialist treatment to try and save his career, it will be weeks before he can feature and months before he is fully match fit

Just don't see the point, we need someone who can slot in straight away

Look at what we are doing short term and then salivate over the players we are trying to bring in.
Remy big bid went in today but got knocked back but is good for the summer
verthonghen- lined up
hazard is up to the player but we are in with a really really good shout
Leandro - on again off again every day

The last few windows have been excellent for clearing out and replacing players with cheaper and better players. We want to buy the next superstars not loan them.

No some people just fail to see behind whats happening at spurs!!! His intentions are obvious... we keep making money every transfer window

We've made money in the last 2, for the past 11 years we've spent money in pretty much every one, in some we've spent an absolute ton of it too!

People saying we are weaker but Pav and Pienaar have had no influence on the side for the last 12 months. Just glad we have got rid of the former, and the latter needs to rebuild his form and fitness with games, which he wouldn't have got here.

Not too worried about CB now Dawson's baxk, Bassong needs to play, and hopefully Gallas isn't too far away.

Gomes, play Defoe there, give Cameron a run out, put Niko on, give Daws a go.

Who cares?

Pienaar hasn't featured this term, he has had no responsibility. His place in the squad was... negligible.

His position was nonsense, he's not good enough, he is a waste of a shirt, a squad place, and money.

There is absolutely no importance placed upon Pienaar whatsoever. None.

The Bassong one is a bit more risky.

We're well set though. First time you can say that for a decade.

A bit hard to play when you're injured.

When he wasn't, there were openings for him central and right, and he didn't get picked.

If you saw him play for Everton and thought he wasn't good enough, that does place you in the minority, cos even Harry must have thought he was.

Exactly. Last window and this is a transition. Next season, we get the big boys in and we go for it hard. We're finally going to start acting like the big lads, folks. I'm excited.

going to miss pav :(

SUPER SUPER PAV SUPER SUPER PAV SUUUUPEEEEEEERRR PAAVVUULLYYCHEEENKKOO

The player that managed to have the most unbelievable correllation between level of support compared with level output.

Less output ... far more support than much more established players.

Overrated because of his name. The worst effort to learn English I've seen from a player in the country for 3 years. The worst effort in a match I've seen for a player in a Tottenham shirt. For an international striker, his first touch is possibly the worst.

Thanks for the odd crucial goals and for being excruciatingly painful to watch.

I welcome Louis Saha. I welcome him because he will put a lot of effort in. Because he's a busy bastard.

Don't know what planet people are on sometimes. It's not just about the fucking name on the back, it's about their work ethic and goalscoring ability.

can we make a list of all the doom merchants and those saying that levy and Harry have fucked up. just round em up and give them their own thread for rest of the season so we can carry on as usual in the rest of this place.
I don't mind rational argument but there seems to be very little of that at the moment

The problem I suspect with 95% of the doom merchants is that they probably strut around for the whole transfer window, telling anyone who will listen that Spurs are interested in X, Y and Z BIG NAME players and how we are in talks and a deal looks likely and they know this because THEY HAVE CONTACTS (itk board).

They profess this drivel until the final minutes of the window and now have to turn up to work/dole queue and be ridiculed by other supporters as none of their professed insider knowledge has come true.

Arent the club getting ahead of themselves? Seems they are spreading the squad pretty thin - and its not like we are assured of a top 4 finish yet? Surely alot of these deals would depend on CL football?

Super, Super Pav

That goal against pool as well in Redknapp's first week was one of my sweetest moments supporting spurs.
