Some people just have no clue, not even the merest shred of an idea how the basic economics of football work, particularly for a club in our position - essentially trying to buy Waitrose goods at Tesco prices. Levy is not penny pinching for the sake of it, he's doing it because he has too and it directly benefits what happens on the field, and not just the next game, not even the next 10 months but to keep us safe for the long term future.

We'll be aright, I'm gutted we've lost 2 world class midfielders and have left a midfield clearly lacking brains and guile but we have goals in us, we have solidity and a manager who will spend more time coaching the attention to detail things that HR didn't. We have a very, very encouraging youth set up and ethos that will hopefully grow and be the cornerstone of what we want to achieve. We are in good hands and are a club that is set up for the long term future.

Lets smash Norwich to smithereens tomorrow now.

Disagree,

Llroris > Friedel
Vert > King (Considering his injuries etc current standard)
Dempsey > Pav, Saha, etc

Signed Ade perm, I think Sig and Dem won't be as bad as you think, and having a player to last 90 mins every week although playing worse, might benefit us as a whole, I loved VDV but we might not be as worse off as expected without him.

Bale and Walker and Sandro will also just get better. I would say we're stronger even though NO one will agree. Last year Modric fucked off in too many games and didn't want to be here, and rotation made us weaker (lack of) so with rotation we'll be stronger

So would you bet on us to be top 4 ?

Hearing unconfirmed reports that Leandro Damiao will join Spurs in the January transfer window.

That's one to watch out, A bit left field.
I'm sorry, but I don't give a fuck about January now if we get too far behind in the league before then for it to matter.

Well jenas is a midfielder and would most likely take up a squad placein the 25 I guess
So you are saying we would not sign Moutinho just because it would mean Jenas wouldn't get a squad number? Behave!!!
You must be a fucktard?
DEmpsey is now the icon of this window failure. I feel sorry for Verts, Bale, Lloris . Sold down the rier like us.

And you come out with shit like that? Jenas ... seriously?

Btw the team that wanted to loan Hudd was Everton, not fulham I think. Obviously too late though!

If we were a normal club I'd be left with a small smidgen of comfort in the expectation that we would sort out the fine details between now and January 1st so that we can conclude a deal for Moutinho early in the next window. We're not a normal club though are we? If we go back in for him it will again be left until the very last second and chances are it again won't go through. That's if Porto would even be so willing to sell at that stage, which I doubt.

FFS!
