If we sign Dempsey he's replacing Pav which is an improvement. Vdv has been replaced by siggy. Moutinho is essential. To have really made a step forward this window we'd need someone to be challenging bale and Lennon too

If we fail to sign moutinho now given all the failings of previous transfer windows then in future someone other than Levy should be conducting the bulk of our transfer business or at least he should stop wasting our time with players we either cannot afford or who will not come to us and go back to making the type of signings that got us where we are today in the first place.

By talented players with the potential to become world class like we did with Berbatov, Bale and MOdric and like Newcastle have done with Ben Arfa, Cisse, Ba and Caybaye instead of running round and round trying to sign Aguero's, Llorente's, Moutinho's and other such players who's wages we can either not afford or who simply are wanted by bigger fish.

We either need to improve our scouting network or we need to get a DOF who can do the job properly within our means.

Yeah I agree. It's nothing new though every window we lose some ITKs. Last year Adie, this year Akqa, next year someone else. The shit always shows itself up in the end but the decent ones are the one you can rely on year in year out

i think JJ's absence tells us just how ITK is. he's in the lodge as we're speaking - he must have hoped that he'd have been done and dusted by now, hence his earlier tweet but as per usual we're not able to conclude the big one - i'm still praying though!!
