You don't only get one chance to make an impression, as long as your first one is good you will get another chance.

Back to Bale, bigger club, more pay, Champions league every season. We can only compete withbthat on an emotional level. Anyway it is clear he would like to go or he would say he is staying. He will only stay if we block him.

Or if Madrid don't make an acceptable offer.

Exactly, if its good. The majority of films are awful, the industry is overflowing with mediocre talent. More pay is relative, i am sure Levy would offer him a shiny new contract if he wanted to stay... ITK has suggested as much. I still think he should stay one more year for the reasons i stated before. But i am me and he is he, at the moment i guess its a moot point as RM apparently haven't offered enough coin.

From a personal and careerist point of view, I actually think Bale would be a little foolish not to take the chance to go to Madrid. Obviously I hope he stays, but objectively it makes little sense to me that he would want to stay. He's a top tier player, playing for a a third tier club. Even if we had qualified for the Champions League I would still have expected him to leave - in his career, we will never be able to offer him the platform to win the trophies he should be winning. That's before you even take into account money.

Completely agree, albeit with great disappointment.

Pretty sure there were some rumours and ITK about Umtiti in May or so, anyone remember from who or am I mistaken. Is Lyon still in the shit financially? LB and cover for CB, with a rather decent shot on him...

Would make more sense than some resurrected Atsu rumours.

Based on 2 games - 1 ?
Fryers got the nod for the second game as he is a leftie.

Not saying he isnt the better long term prospect as aCB, but you cant judge on 2 games of one payer over 1 game from the other

I watched Livermore at CB vs Mk dons live, he just doesn't think like a cb tbh. Positioning was woeful its just not his position IMO. Mks strikers really showed him up

IIRC I thought the mods stopped mass debates on Bale in this thread?

Given the comments by most members on here when we are linked to player x,y or z about fapping themselves to sleep etc. No matter how hard A&C tried I don't think he could stop these members from mass debating.

Well I remember us scoring last season, Freund going mental and Livermore didn't even crack a smile.

Which was bizarre considering how we always hear how he is Tottenham through and through.

Of Parker, Hudd and Livermore, I'd keep Hudd. He did well at the end of the year and showed he could affect games as an impact sub, plus i felt he was just getting going after injuries. He'll never be first choice but he is good cover. Parker is on the downgrade, expensive and has already been replaced and Livermore couldn't get near the team last year so has no chance this year.

Really ? I'd keep Parker all day long - the only one of those that consistently effects games. Hudd effected one game with one through ball in a game we were already winning. Parker played just as good a ball for Lennon to beat Arsenal and also was far more involved in every other game he played - defensively as well as offensively - Hudd was shocking in most other games he played including Chelsea away.

Let's say if we move 3 players like Hudd, Parker and Ade for Willian. Will anyone object?
