Spend whatever it takes?

In that case we won't be selling Bale and expect Messi and Ronaldo in a Spurs shirt come Wednesday.

I don't think it's simply a case of having the best players but having the right players for the manager and the system he wants to play. We need cover in every position and good options. I think we're very close to that and if we can get extra quality in defence then we're already contenders IMO. I would probably say keeping Bale is more important now than spending more on players.

Goats latest info supports the info given some time ago by Atlanta Yid on COYS. But from the deals so far, excluding Saldado, we still seem to be driving hard bargains or looking for bargains (Chadli for example). Perhaps despite having the money there are only certain players who are prepared to consider us whilst we are outside the CL ?

We have indeed left the Arse and Liverpool way behind; and have caught up with at least Manure. Couple of good signings will make us real contenders for the EPL title.

So what's happened? Joe Lewis is living a real life Brewster's Million all of a sudden?

No, I am NOT complaining. This is just a little disorienting.

We've gone from Jelavic to challenging for the title without even kicking a ball.

BEST EVER
Now we wait for our usual form and the inevitable depression and Carlton Cole jokes/spam as the transfer window gets closer to closing.....

This transfer window is quickly becoming the best one of my lifetime so far- I include the one when we got Klinsmann which at the time blew my little socks off.

We've spent £50m while Arsenal have only made a free signing, United have only really spent on Zaha and Liverpool, although they IMO have made good signings, will be below us yet again. City, although overspending massively, have done good business. Will be tight, yet open up the top.

Exciting news from the goat. Carte blanche goes against how I'd like us to move forward, but if its the way it has to be...

Right, just read Goats updated. I'm buzzing! If I worked it out correctly (and depending on whether or not we got Dempsey and Caulker funds up front) Lewis gave us 50M not including paulinho, so soldado - £26m and chadli - £7m (£33m) minus the £15m funds we got for the two we've sold, we have 32m to spend... I say get Lamela in!
