To say that we have left Arsenal behind as well is foolish. While it is funny that they haven't spent any money yet, I fully expect them to make some improvements before the window closes. They still have a good squad and a few smarts buys could see them well off.

Only verified ITKs, apart from those who would rather not have their info put in there, is posted. Take ALL with salt though. Some could be right, some could be wrong. But, IMO, I feel that if at least a few post with the same info then it could very well be seen as trustworthy. IIRC there was ITK suggesting we would spend big this summer, and we have done so far.

So if we go by the new info given to us i would love to see these signings:

£12-15m - Coentrao
£20-25m - Willian
£6-10m - Vlad or Sakho
£10-14m - Halilovic (next season)

If Bale leaves then add:

£25-30m - Lamela


With or without Bale if these signings are made we are without doubt top 3 / title challengers.

Don't get me wrong if true I am very excited and IF a certain someone stays. Another striker and definately a left full back we really have a great chance of not only finishing in the top 4 but also challenging for the title

BUT.....

Why the hell didn't the owners put this kind of financial comitment into the club when we actually did finish 4th in 09/10 and build on it?

Everyone then knew we needed a striker and we really could of kicked on then.

Don't get it?!

I think Lewis is seeing what's happening with the Chelscum. They've spent heavily, but they've done so to acquire good players which have in turn earned them back a lot of money. I won't even mention Man City their spending is absolutely ridiculous.

Plus with the new NBC deal there is another big incentive to do well and grab more fans. More fans = more money.

Not really. IMO our main business has been done. Fairly strong XI for Palace, Swansea and Arsenal. If one or two of these deals are done the week before the NLD then I'll be happy.
