Great stuff.

Got to be honest went straight for Schneiderlin info lol

Sounds like we have a real chance of landing him.

I don't think anything changed too much tbh. If we pay between say £20-25m, we'll get him.

The big question is whether we're prepared to do that.

Anyone else thinks MS sounds like a total prick?

Didn't like it when samelar-hound-face did it, don't like it now

Not really, they have sold all of their best players apart from him, so he is being forced to stay to playin an inferior side than last seasons team whilst everyone else gets a move.

Nope not one bit, that's football now. It's happened to us enough times and it will happen again, so I couldn't give a shit if we can take advantage of MS playing up on this occasion.

I agree but waiting to the dying embers probably ensures we get him for that bit less. Not a lot less, but a bit.

They have players in by then, fans appeased, and Schneiderlin looking gloomy for weeks will hit home to.

Cracking info from Trix, enjoyed the level of detail.

Chadli news is interesting, as he could well come into his own in our new system. The rotation of the front 3 would save him from his below average pace (for a winger). He's a strong athletic lad so could really add something whilst pressing high up the pitch (tackling was decent enough when TS played him in CM). Also has a cannon of a shot which was shown in the Newcastle and Benfica games, and seems to have an eye for a pass/cross when on form as well. Adds height from set pieces too.

Doesn't get away from the fact that he was disappointing last season but there is a good player in there IMO. I wouldn't quibble if Poch put him in the starting XI instead on Lennon, Townsend or Holtby...

Actually that doesn't surprise me at all...

Remember where Yedlin is from: Seattle, Washington. Taylor Twellman, someone most Europeans wouldn't even know, broke the news. Trix has said his sources are football agents, and while they're international, I doubt that they would hear news from across the pond that quickly, especially if the story just broke in the past day.
What kind of a stupid name is that anyway? Taylor Twellman sounds like the name of a kid who gets his head bog-washed in Harry Potter.

Can someone explain what Chadli showed last season. I don't know What his key attributeS are to keep hold of him. He is not a LWF and was awful. He played behind the striker non existant.Played CM not strong enough slow on the ball. The only time I remember him effecting a game when he came on as sub and played off the RM and set up a goal. I don't think its enough.

It is just too hard to compare last season under either AVB or Sherwood, with what Pochettino wants to implement. Players will be playing in different roles with different instructions - that massively impacts how they perform. Its not simply LW v. LW.

Thirdly

The price of Depay. Now no numbers were mentioned but i got the impression the price would be very high. The reasoning was that the bigger clubs in Holland have decided(mutually) that their league is as good as the league in say Portugal and yet thir stars seem to be valued at a fraction of the price. Expect them to hold out for more in the future.

Portugal, has typically been a cheap destination other than for the really big name players. Deco cost a bit, but he was big by the time he left Portugal. However the last four years are so, anybody who comes out of the Super Liga is way over valuated. Witsel £35 Lazar £22 Hukk £50 and even Hamez (sic) Rodriguez at £40 is ridiculous (13 goals is his best season).

So if Eredivisie clubs are going to use this to inflate their kids (and they have a lot of young talent), they are going to essentially close off their market to all but a few clubs, who can only buy so much.

No wonder we are buying within the league so much.

Not a total prick but a player who's very much embraced the idea of "player power". To be honest I do agree with you. If he can cause up a shit storm there, chances are if we do sign him, he'll eventually do the same if when our special partners come knocking.

Not to me. But I guess we don't actually know the scenario other than a load of players have been allowed to leave and he hasn't. I guess if there was no agreement with Ms that he'd be allowed to leave, and/or the issue was we weren't offering anywhere close to his value, then he'd be being a bit of a prick.

He is only a total prick if he does not come to Spurs.

Really understandable in his situation - player only has so much leverage, you have to use it every once in a while.

And if Madrid or Barca come knocking I'm sure most of our current players would act the same way. It's inevitable when a bigger club is interested. I'm sure MS wouldn't be playing up if lallana, shaw and all the others decided to stay.

They're agents and not directly linked with Spurs. If Yedlin has an agent it'll probably be one of the big American firms like CAA or IMG so there won't be the usual flow of information doing the rounds
Yedlin is represented by James Grant Sports Management. Represents Jack Rodwell, Al Habsi, Craig Gernder, Jordan Rhodes, John O'Shea(!!!!!!!!!!), and more. But they do represent alot of Americans like Dempsey, Altidore, Edu, etc.

It makes so much sense from a Dutch clubs point of view. Eriksen would have cost 25million if he had been playing in Portugal.
