I would probably plump for Damiao myself, but honestly don't feel BC's opinion warrants a facepalm. Damiao is hardly proven at the highest level himself. In hindsight I will remove my dislike, think that was harsh.

I just thought it was a bit far-fetched that he'd honestly think Pritchard signing a new contract would be a priority over signing an established Brazilian forward. I understand Damiao is only playing in the Brazilian league but you have to take into account that the league is improving year by year and he's got a good goal scoring record.

Personally I'm not uncomfortable with the gametime given to Pritchard by AVB. I feel he should have a bit more patience. It is very rare for a man of his age to be playing Premier League football for a club competing for a CL place. And regular football at that age does not always turn out well for the player's future career.

I'll be gutted if we let Pritchard go. I've been bragging to my Arsenal mates about his talent.

It's strange that we've never loaned him out - I know he's quite slight and we might have worried about how he'd cope, but we loaned out Tom Carroll a couple of times and he's even slighter - if a bit taller.

I hope we really make an effort to keep this kid, give him a long-term contract and start integrating him into the squad!

watch this and tell me if there's anything there that would make you think he has the potential to be a 10m player.

yeah it's just an 8 minute clip but those things are always the best stuff and even Iversen looked half decent in his, so if he can't impress in a highlight reel then sorry i'm very skeptical. and yeah Palace don't want to sell in this window so they can play hard to get and that probably inflates his price even further. knowing Levy's eye for value i'd be very surprised if we bought him. then again, Levy did pay 15m for Bentley...

Most of that clip was when he was 18/19 years old. Sorry, but there does seem decent potential there tbh. For a sensible figure (some have mentioned £6m) or even more then he must be worth the gamble at that?

Pritchard - If the club only gave him a one year deal then they can't rate him that highly. He's nowhere near the 1st team at the mo and i'm sure the coaches know more about his qualities than any of us, so if he leaves then so be it... We haven't made any massive blunders recently with letting kids contracts run down who have actually turned out to be top draw so I'll trust the club on this one.

Zaha - £20m is ridiculous! anything over £5m is too much to be honest. The boy looks to have some raw talent but you wouldn't pay £20m for most established premier league players...even Lennon or Nani probably wouldn't command that sort of fee and are far superior players imo.

City with all their millions had a 17 y o goal scorer Saturday we had dead man walking hudd in front of Carroll. Can't see the kids getting much game time soon

Hmmm, Zaha or Belhanda for roughly the same money. Now, that's a tough one, I really can't decide which way we should go, I'm being pulled in both directions here.

No. Wait. I'm not.

So Ades off then, can anyone remember the last transfer window when a striker hasn't been our top priority? I honestly can't... Wasn't Jol in charge?!?!

Adam Suter on twitter says he reckons we will receive bids for Adebayor and added that "Conte likes him a lot".

Good. All in for a striker then DL. No excuses. Profit and big wages shifted. Replacement or GTFO.

It'd be interesting to know how many of Pritchard's next gen contemporaries have had game time for their respective clubs
