Why hasn't Soldado been announced yet and should we be starting to worry about his medical?

Just when things couldn't get any worse....

chadli took ages to be announced so im not worried, was that far apart I thought we'd signed his brother as well as didn't occur to me we hadn't announced it was official

The whole (underwhelming) scouting thing smacks of the Arry legacy. Very much his way of thinking. AVB was brought in with the DoF thing in mind... Now that's been out in place, they can crack on with agreed targets/agendas etc.

Don't read too much into it.

I think you're right. I imagine it's part of Franco's remit to build a new scouting network. Won't happen overnight but its underway.

I know it means nothing and won't get any kind of recognition but I've just sent an email to OFCOM re Sky's use of 'sky sources'. The complaint was that it's too easy to lie when using that term and that each source should be named.

Maybe if a few more people complained it might get noticed? Yes I'm bored but I'm angry too because they spout so much bullshit something has to be done.

Well Chadli was in Hongkong so his medical was delayed.

Soldado should be alright but nothing would surprise me at this club.
Sometimes I think why we are doing medicals. Most of them end up injured here anyway...

Haven't got a clue about other scouts but City had great young talent before the arabs started playing real life FM with unlimited cash and Carr was chief scout at City

He also unearthed Rio, Carrick, Cole, Lampard at West Ham

Tony Carr is the guy who unearthed all the youngsters at West Ham.

Graham Carr is a scout at Newcastle, who has never been at West Ham.

Jim Cassell was in charge of the Man City Youth system, but was let go this summer, by the new Spaniards at City

unless benny is on the verge of being sold or is injured, i don't get why he's had no playing time at all in pre-season. the likes of hudd, livermore and parker have all played, heck, even gomes got a game. i'm going to be sorely disappointed if/when benny leaves but i just hope we get his replacement signed, sealed and delivered before letting him go.

That is still subject to medical, which is the cause of the concerns posted here.
That being said, its sunday. If no pics with shirt etc monday or tuesday, i will entertain the idea that there is a cause for delay.

Well I remember AVB got rid of a couple of scouts and then Head Scout Broomfield a long while back, so presumably they would have gotten rid of any scouts they didn't want that joined under Harry or who Harry inherited. You have to imagine those still around after a year are those with AVB's blessing

As for Franco I thought his remit was negotiating deals like at Roma, the scouting there cam under Walter Sabatini I believe
