That's the trouble with the modern game, it seems people are more obsessed with success over pride and honour. It's the reason I want us to be different. I want us to do the things the Tottenham way. I don't want us to sell the club and throw money around like Man City or Chelsea just to become successful. Just as I don't want us to sign someone like Suarez just because he is a great player.

I'm a true believer that we can be successful and still keep our dignity. I want us to continue going down the path we have been going and investing in exciting young talent. I want us to have a group of players who play for one another, who don't think they're too good for us and have a team spirit. I want to see the team come together for every goal scored and train with a smile on their face.

Everything is coming together so well for us now, not just on the pitch but with the new training facilities and new stadium. We're building an exciting young team with an exciting young manager. We're a team that oozes 'class' and we've already signed 3 players who fit the mould. 2 have huge potential and 1 is a hard working centre forward who is improving year on year and in his prime.

If we sell Bale then we need to continue signing players who will gel with the rest of the team. The type of players who will not bring bad press to the club. Honest, hard working and talented players who want to earn success. Then when that success comes it will feel so much sweeter knowing we never sold out. I want a team that Bill Nicholson would be proud of.

This. 100 pct this. This is what supporting Spurs is all about.

going back to some ITK, the stuff on Caulker, the 20% sell on clause, does it suggest to anyone else it is only for the next 2 years if he is sold? if so this is a bit poor, I wouldn't expect him to be sold and establish himself in the first team.

I'm of the opinion that this deal was sanctioned to Cardiff as the Spurs management are of the opinion he isn't ready to be a first-team regular. I see it very similar to when we let Kaboul go the first time to Pompey. They both had/have the talent but potentially not the ability to apply it correctly.

If the clause exists, I think it's very shrewd on our behalf. Let him go get regular first team experience, as almost guaranteed a starting spot as their record signing. No-one knows yet how Cardiff will do over the next couple of seasons, but odds will suggest preliminarily that they'll be one of the favourites to go down.

If that happens they'll probably look to offload him as one of the higher wage earners and we bring him back to Spurs having gained 1/2 seasons of decent experience which we were unable or unwilling to provide at this present time.

If you believe that you must be gutted about caulker, if our kids fail there's more of an echo of glory than just hired hands

Good man Mil1ion. You are one in a million.
Let us all remember Bill Nick, Danny B., and all those heroes - and to hell with Luis Suarez.

Not sure where the Suarez talk has come from I'm telling you there is no chance of us signing him.

I'm pretty sure the goat is alluding to the incredible who AVB has said numerous times that he would love to work with again.

For me personally hulk is far too expensive and nowhere near as good as he is made out to be. Would rather lamela and a big bid for Bernard who both combined would probably be the same fee.
Regardless of how good Suarez is I never want to see him in a spurs shirt. He's vile...& because of that he suits the gooners or chelscum. Not us, please.. Please not us
