Danish = bacon = Ham

Father = big daddy = Martin Jol

Injured = sacked from Spurs and still hurting

We are selling T Hudd to Fulham.

Well, assuming the Dane is Eriksen, if he is Erik's son then his father must be Erik... if he dodges an injury he isn't lame... am I just trying my hardest to make Erik Lamela...?

Think you hit the nail on the head personally! Really hope you are right.

Just had a thought: AVB must think he's in managers paradise having all these players coming in. I would imagine that the bond of trust this has formed between him and DL will be a great foundation for a long lasting relationship.

I wonder if AVB himself will be given a new contract/extension? How many years he got left?

Surely DL will be looking to extend on the back these acquisitions?
Comes with a price though. Finishing 5th with most points tally is not enough. He has now been given the tools, he now has to deliver. Saying that, I have no doubt that he will!

Negotiations with The Dane are now focused on his father, after he dodged an injury.

The dane = erikson
His father = thomas erikson
Dodged an injury = not a clue

It's christian erikson. Christ I'm good at these cryptics

Not sure about the dodging injury bit but father of Eriksen would be Erik, so logically it would be Lamela.

Either that or the whole cryptic thing has come full circle and we're now being satirised with cryptic clues that are actually just clear information.

This plus the 'la' at the end of Lamela > LA > dodges > LA Dodgers

No its not. I think this is the mistake most of SC make when guessing cryptics. They assume it's a massively complex equation.

The Goat is not a member of mensa from what I can tell so it should always be obvious.

'The Dane' we've been linked to two all window and one has gone to another club. It might be something to do with him/his name but I highly doubt it's about him - Way too obvious.

It was mine and I tested it on the mods this morning and none of them got it so I thought it'd take you a while.

Backs my point up...

If you can get £10m for Townsend and replace him with an Atsu for £1m but allow scope to strengthen other areas, would you?

No.

Feel we really need to give Townsend a good go. Shocking we get linked with players like ince etc when we have andros. I bet if Townsend played for a foreign club and we were linked with him people would go mad for him on the strength of a youtube clip!

Maybe a bit late on this, but am I the only one who read JJ's info last night on Bale and thought of the Princess Bride?

If Bale has gone from being completely dead to only mostly dead, then all we need is Miracle Max to bring him all the way back. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Well that's me out. At this point, a random guess would have a better chance than my attempts :D

So Charalampos Mavrias was a result of wonderkid search and randomly picking a middle post on page 11. Let's see how my control does in this less-than-scientific study ;)
