Not like he knew at all. He said it because he still believes now we have set a price for Bale, Madrid will find a way of meeting it, but if they did there would be plenty of evidence that they had. Including a letter of credit, and Perez nominating himself for a Nobel Peace prize for eliminating Slavery in Tottenham.

Ghost started off with Levy wants 150mill, 100% genuine info. Then he flipped to done at 85mill a week later and now a week on Bale is gone gone gone. Consistency is not Ghost's forte this summer.

Playing devil's advocate there's probably a difference between what Levy would have initially asked for as a starting point in negotiations & what he would finally accept.

If true, I'm glad its finally getting done now rather than two weeks down the line.

It is just not believable at all in my opinion. Once Madrid have Bale they won't be looking to pillage us again for a while so they have no incentive not to scream it from the rooftops. Also Perez looks like a total **** at the moment, giving it the charlie-big-bollocks over Bale without seemingly getting any where. He is vain enough to want to put that to bed ASAP.

Just doesn't add up to me at all.

But why would we sell him this window if we couldn't do the right business after selling him for obvious reasons?

I'm just playing devils advocate, and hence think its conceivable that Levy would exhaust every avenue in terms of being able to benefit from selling Bale this summer if he felt he had to.

If I'm him I'm saying to Madrid, ok, but we want to do our business first.

Doesn't need to. It is well publicised that the only team trying to buy Bale at the moment is Madrid.

Why would there be? We're in no hurry to sell here, they're desperate to buy. I can't see why we'd need to budge on our valuation.

Info says Levy told Madrid he wants 150mill then a week later the same guy says Levy took 85mill, which is what 60% of the original asking price, not sure that's very Levyesque.

That's serving a purpose from their end. Anything they wouldn't want getting out wouldn't necessarily get out with the same ease.

I think we all know in our heads GB is going this summer. However yesterday Madrid said they'd given us a deadline of the 20th and today via a dubious source says its done. Nah. I'll wait for somebody like JJ to say so to be 99% certain. And when LLM says so I'll know for sure haha
