I didn't mention Bale because he hardly played left back. Not at Spurs anyway. Real Madrid signed a LWF.

Yeah I know but he was scouted as a LB. It is a bit funny that we have brought through a plethora of RBs but no other LB apart from Rose.

you need to post who said it and where its from

OK, though, as I pointed out in my original post, it'll just mean that, because of the site it was posted on, it'll be dismissed as bullshit. If the guy was a member on here and, as has happened many times with various members, he just happened to know somebody linked with a particular player, so shared the info he happened across, it would likely be received with a more open mind.

That stuff happens in every day life, just look at that guy (family) who just happened to be sharing a plane with the Dutch Squad, so asked a few questions & the info filtered onto here. He/they got lucky, and the info ended up on here. Had that info been posted on a site that certain people don't particularly like or rate, it would've likely been dismissed and proclaimed as bullshit. Fair comment?

Anyway, as per your request, the post was made on Vital Spurs, by a guy who calls himself 'King26'. Never before has he posted any info, and will probably never post anything again unless, of course, it happens to be about Livermore, who remains friends with his friend.

Apologies for my long-winded post, Chris. I'm just expressing and explaining myself.

Rose looked good at the start of the season he deserves a chance to find his rhythm again after a long injury .

I'm not sure if fryers is adequate cover but I expect after all the effort the club went through to acquire him they'd like to give him a go!

You don't need 'Rhythm' to pass the ball back to your goalkeeper when you have no where to go. You need NOUS, common sense.

some of the best ITK we have ever had has been from one off's.
If the post came from on here then we would know who and where the info has come from as it wouldnt make it in here if they haven't spoken to us first.

And that's understood, Chris. Which was exactly why I said at the end of my post about fully understanding the site rules, not proclaiming it as ITK, and how I simply passed it on because it at least coincided with the info kindly provided by Ali Z. I stand by what I originally stated, mate. I'll happily remove it, or you can happily remove it. It'll make no difference to me, and I certainly never intended to step on anyone's toes (y)

We can't just keep spending money when players are injured. That is why you have a squad - to cover injuries. If you keep buying players then what happens when everyone is fit?

Am I?

To a degree yes, but when was the last time Kaboul put a string of games together? When was the last time Dawson managed to perform well across multiple matches? I am not in the Spurs hierachy, so I don't have the info to hand or see training, but from the outside as someone in management, those are the two players i would be looking at and thinking that their time at THFC is under threat.

Ekotto has seemingly burned his bridges or he would have been recalled by now, he hasn't because he is out of favour and likely out of the club.

So whilst we do not need 7 players at CB etc, i would be seeing if other options were available and IF they were, I would look to offload those players who were unable to make the grade.

Doesn't mean I don't like them or respect what they have given the club, but there is no room for sentiment here.

Of course, if Kaboul's injuries are minor and he has just been a bit unlucky, then ok, no panic needed, but last I checked we were struggling and having to play Midfielders in that role, that to me at least says we should be considering our options.

We might have a squad, but frankly, it is still weak at the back.

Regarding goat ITK was there any educated guesses ? One Dutch U21 striker come to my mind is Richario Zivkovic from FC Groningen. He is actively scouted by both RM & Barca

His club have ruled out selling him this month. Plus, against the likes of Real & Barca, snowballs chance in hell he'd come here :(

And Rose wasn't even a left back when we brought him through to the first team. He's only been playing that position a couple of years.

Agree!

We can't buy buy buy every time we have injuries. However we should have addressed the Left Back position years ago. I know some people rate BAE but definitely not my type of player. In fact when was the last time Spurs had a "Class" left back. I'd honestly have to go back as far as the early 80's. Chris Hughton! For some reason we have never scouted or raised through the academy a "quality" left back.

I don't think you can finish 4th, 5th 4th, 5th in the premier league without a class left back. Benny is good. If he was that bad, the team could maybe carry him over a season, but not over a sustained four years of great league finishes. There can't be too many better left backs over the last four years in the league.
