Townsend wants to stay at Spurs however his father is advising him to move on, even if it's a 6 month loan.

Also look out for Sterling being fast tracked through our academy.

If that means he wants to stay and fight for his place surely the penny has to drop that he has to start adapting his game.

Tragic really, because he's not going to get a look in unless he does - so why would you want to stay when you're not even making the match day squad and when the likes of Chadli return, and later Pritchard, he'll be nowhere near it.

Townsend won't/can't adapt his game IMO, he'll never fit in under poch. He just hasn't got a great football brain.
What type of player is Sterling, heard about him but never seen him play??

Makes sense from his father. Get regular game time at another club and up your profile. Maybe make it back into the England side and feature in the Euros by which time you have possible offers on the table or convinced Poch you are worth keeping.

Danny Ings is said (massive rumour) to be costing Liverpool in the region of £10m when it's finally agreed. WBA could expect to receive that also for Berahino, although we will undoubtably argue about game time etc. Therefore I just can't see how we would pick him up for the £10m that some are suggesting. £15m, well probably and then shove some add ons if he performs? Kind of remember though the 'Sturridge is he good enough or not' sort of argument on places before he signed for the Scousers. A fit Sturridge is certainly good enough - let's hope Berahino would be also. He's waiting for us and we for him.

Townsend is clearly far to comfortable at Spurs, even if he isn't playing, which is sad, especially as he is good enough to get regular football at a number of decent prem clubs.

But that's the other side of a contract, isn't it? He has been at Spurs forever, and if he genuinely loves the club and is friends with the players and staff and has family and friends in the area, why would he want to leave? He is getting paid well and I would imagine he is living the life he wants to live.

He has been on loan far too many times to go out again on a 6 month loan and anything turn Poch's head. Pochettino doesn't work that way IMO. MP has seen everything he needs to of Andros Townsend, and I'm quite sure MP himself has told him that.

Therefore, he will be going, if not in January, then certainly in the summer.

Grey Fox ITK re the positive club atmosphere with real belief we can challenge for the title and real heartbreak if we don't even get top4.

The January window hangs in the balance of these December fixtures then, right? If we are as good as we can be, then bollocks, we better solidify that position. If lessons been learnt, we better have the scouts out in full force, the lawyers scouring every contract, to find any Pochettino players that can strengthen us.

DR's bi-polar and miserable lows must be off the pitch related. Certainly don't want to go down that road discussing his personal life, but how could they be on the pitch? He's become a very dependable player and is first choice LB, even making England.

some surprise itk from someone who we all know and trust i guess..

windy/windycoys/chris miller: Some ITK from me:
Townsend will most likely leave in Jan.
We might be giving up on Yahaya.
Charlie Owens and Zenon Stylianides are getting pro contracts.
I'd also heard about the Dembele link through a source who hadn't given me info before. [the fulham one i guess]

edit: from coys

Windy usually spills his ITK on the fighting cock podcast so I'll have a listen to that today and see if he elaborates at all.

If you don't already listen to it then you should.

In fairness though his last ITK was that he expected us to get Bender..
