If the club do choose to appoint AVB i couldnt give a castlemain xxxx what the media think? the same folk that were lambasting mike ashley not long ago with pure negative stuff while he tried to implement his strategy on the club, are the same ones now creaming over newcastle's recruitment policy and pardews management. Ashley brought him in to a chorus of jeers & mocking from the geordie faithful and media alike?

Pardew has bought into ashleys vision for the club which is clever scouting on younger players, sensible wages, realistic transfer fees, and hard work on the training field and its all paying off alot quicker than expected. Levy has a similar plan and we all need to stand firm and back whatever decision he makes and if it is AVB give him a clean slate and judge him on what he does/doesnt do at spurs.

do you think if ashley had listened to the media newcastle would be where the are now?

Think the chelsea saga could make AVB stronger and better he won't go in with the same I want to change everything right away attitude

I'm all for it now I'm sold on AVB

He doesn't need to change everything straight away, just improve on what we have, new forward or two and a right winger/right wing forward is all we really need IMO

Heartily agree. No point looking back, get behind the Manager! If AVB is our man, and it's starting to feel like a foregone conclusion, I think we should make a concerted effort to refer to him as Andreas or something else that'll herald the dawn of a new era (cough cough). Rebrand the man! ;) Be nice!

Rumours are Moyes has quit, that's probably why. Certain social networking rumours only though so most likely bollocks
