Daily Mail is a worse rag than the Sun.
Full of racists, asylum seeker and immigrant flood scare stories, continuous knocking of the NHS and our education system and of course; PC gone mad silly stories. It is like a black hole draining the light of hope from our country. Allied to piss poor sources of info, rubbish about the Royals and of course Tottenham knocking.

Why would ANYONE buy it? It is a paper for the hard of thinking who think they more intellectual than Sun / Mirror / Star readers, but can't read a proper paper.

Anyone see the documentary on the guy who gorged on The Daily Mail for 30 days and did a video diary, Morgan Spurlock style?

I read it, and agree with most of it. It is like Spurs in away, it hates Left wingers.

Not sure liverpools boycott is so pathetic, sure we'd feel rather pissed in there situation.

Except that every newspaper ran the same story the difference being that the Sun made a front page splash of it.

Do you think that all these papers including broadsheets would publish that story without some basis given how uncomfortable it was to read?

If I see a daily mail on the train, I don't even pick it up to read in case someone thinks I bought it! I unashamedly read the guardian and enjoy their coverage of Spurs and football in general.

I don't really get this anti-Spurs in the media sentiment, we're an easy target club, just like Newcastle because of the way things have been done at the club in recent times. What does really annoy me though is the whole 'top 4' thing that's been created by Sky and their focus and emphasis on those clubs for 90% of the time.

I don't consider myself Right or Left wing, in fact given the choice I think most of us would plump for the breast rather than a scrawny bit of wing, there is more substance there, more meat and less nasty bits.

I read The Times / the Game on a Monday, Guardian on Thursday for Technology and occasionally Independent for world view and Torygraph for its excellent sports writing. Tend to buy the Sunday with the most promising Spurs write ups. Yep! I do stand there and check all 4 sports sections.

If all sold out, I would rather buy a red top than a mail or express. If I found one on the train I might use it to clean my shoes. Maybe because I was born in Germany, I find extreme right wing views intolerable.

If we boycott every paper that prints negative stories about us then we would never read a newspaper and it will make us sound as sad & pathetic as Liverpool fans with their Sun boycott.

Think about the reason why Liverpool boycott it and you'll understand.

Still think your paper is shite and its constant whinging about immigrants NHS and Education system is plain WRONG.

It's not wrong for a paper to write stories about any of these issues; it's completely up to them. F*ck me I didn’t realize we were in a communist state!!!!

I don’t have a select paper as I read what ever I pick up on the train or in the office but if it pick up the DM I’m not a racist and if I pick up the Sun I’m not some looney lefty!!!

Let's get back top talking footy

If you read one of my later posts you will see I mention Hillsborough.

The Sun hasn't been left wing since the 1960s. It only pretended to be left wing since because Murdoch promised the IPC and the trade unions it would be so that the paper would get sold to him and not Maxwell.

Its soul destroying to work in Education or the NHS, work bloody hard under difficult and often violent conditions and then constantly be told be ill informed journos writing poorly researched articles about how you are doing a bad job, except when exam results improve EVERY year, then its; exams are too easy. Well the mail will have a field day once all the jobs go and they can whip up some anti immigrant mobs. Get the Sun on board and we can have BNP sponsored lynching parties.

PS I cant imagine them having the same debate at the West London Nazi Football club; Chavski.

So it's not wrong to write lies, or engage in scaremongering? Nobody is saying they can't print it, but we are entitled to point out that what it prints is wrong.

The only person here showing a totalitarian attitude is you.

Can we get these guys to sort out our midfield?

On a more serious note, these papers write for the adgenda of their readership. Some people enjoy reading about immigrants, dodgy NHS and schools the same way others go for more the titillating redtops with glossed over news, sports and boob jobs.

I guess for me, I will pick up any newspaper I find on a bus/train and find something interesting to read in any of them.

News delivery is changing - i get a huge percentage of mine from interweb, then me researching more in depth myself - if i am interested enough.

I worked in the newspaper industry for about 5-6 years and it's true that untrue and incorrect stuff is put in. I have seen this happen and most of this was down to lazy journalists not validating a story or source.

Not that this has anything to do with Spurs, let alone football, however i do think the Mail is a conservative paper and is against labour and hasn't really attacked people who work in the education system or the nhs but rather attacked the goverment for the crap working of it!
Personally, i get pee'd off when i go out to work to keep a roof over my misses and baby's head and food on the table, and then see and hear from people bout how well they are doing on benefits and can manage to visit the pub daily spending my money on beer!

As i said, this has nowt to do with Spurs. I think its most papers that have something against us...but then we do kind of open the door to it by constantly splashing the cash and then start the season as we do! We don't help by building ourselves up BEFORE we get the results. Maybe we should start to get the results first and let our football do the talking rather than let our footballers do the talking before we get the result????

1) Question, if someone attacks Tottenham and the crowd, do you feel the need to defend the club?

2) More kids in school and not truanting, 'special schools' closed down and pupils 'included' in main stream (a policy begun under the Conservatives), results up, literacy & numeracy up. All this despite a staggering amount of crazy new 'demands & initiatives'. Personally I don't think any of the parties deserve my vote, but credit where it is due. The way I see it, more young people educated and qualified, less excuse to dole bludge, hang about shopping centres, pubs all day and more opportunity to have a meaningful life. PS. You forgot to mention the bookies. ;-)

Why bother buying or reading a paper if you do not like what you read, most papers are full of shit anyway.
