The bravado bit your spot on, most of us never really got proper invloved, we were the 2nd line giving it large :)
But one year when the North Bank put segregated fences for the first time, hardly any yids to be seen, we got sussed by the gooners and we ended up actually having a row, 5 of us against what seemed like the whole North bank....

End result , nicked , 200 pound fine...year to keep the peace suspended.......best thing to happen to me, after that i bought myself a stone island jacket and watched the game in the billy nic.:)

;)

Sure would hate to have been made out to be some sort of hooligan hanging out of an Italian bus giving it the large to a load of Fiorentina supporters on the BBC show last week.....:eek:

Don't get me wrong, it could get very naughty with West Ham and Chelsea on match days. But the rest of the time you were often knocking about with kids you'd grown up with and they were often of other footballing dominations. For us lot from south/surrey it was mostly Chelsea. I also had good mates who were faces at Fulham, QPR, Arsenal. I personally (and most of us from round south london and surrey) didn't have much to do with any West Ham boys apart from the odd one who'd show up with north/east london spurs lads that they were mates with. Not until the late eighties and we all started hanging round the same warehouses and clubs (Echoes for example was run by ex-ICF boys) around hackney (Twighlights) The Dungeon, The Labrynth. Even then I never liked or trusted those ****s, they always seemed like a different type of **** to the rest of us.
Labyrinth was a an absolute hole with the freaky twins in there - saw a murder in the car park there awful place

Yeah, wasn't one of my favourites either. The dudgeon was easily my favourite place to end up. Get in there about 2/3/4am and trundle out sometime later that morning. I might be imagining this but I'm sure they ended up tunnelling through to the boozer over the road in the end, or was that a trippy dream I had ?

I remember clink street and bermondey street in the early days which were incredible - also there was an arch round the corner from elephant that had an old truck in the middle. Also was in the tunnel club / mitre pub when it got raided

Are you lot talking about labrynth the rave? If you are, my mum and dad used to help run it with Joe wiese, as well as raindance. They left after a bit and set up double dipped.

If you've seen rise of the footsoldier, the scene where it got raided by Chelsea headhunters was a true story, and happened in one of Joe wieses nights.

I know Joey Whizz from way back in the early 1970's ... I saw him on Facebook a couple of years ago and he looked more than a bit waisted.

Yep car wash had forgot about that completely - no tunnel club was where Malcolm Hardy kicked off his comedy nights opposite the petfood factory south side of blackwall tunnel - real dive great fun

Last few posts poked my memory....went down the Tunnel club a few times ...and played at a Raindance...and knew Malcolm Hardy before his untimely death .

I'm sure you guys are right about the Tunnel being Malcolm's , but I remember his main club being in Greenwich along Creek Road .

When you say "played" at Raindance, what do mean exactly GK?

He started his comedy there Sunday's only before the Greenwich move and tunnel club was run by another mob.

What's the point? Its embarrassing and even if you are into that side of things, smashing a toilet up considered a result? Christ.

That was before the game as well, then spurs smashed up the other toilet at half time. Was a pain in the arse cos I had to piss in a pepsi cup after they shut the bogs...:(

Would've been even more of a pain in the arse if you'd had to hold in a dump for 90 minutes
