One way or another, this is going to be Sod's Law.

A quick check of Guardian stats informs me that Diddy-A has managed two goals in 237 league games, both of them for Genk. That's even worse than Makalele or the Emmerdale Eminem, Alan Smith. I score more often than that. Christ, Cliff Richard probably scores more often than that.

Last game of next season. 94th minute. Away at the Emirates. We'll be 2-1 down needing a point to pip the Gooners to 4th spot. Diddy will take on the whole team twice, round the keeper and have an open goal from 2 feet.

He'll hit the crossbar, but with such force that it smacks out and hits their keeper (preferably Lehmann) clean in the face, rebounds into Didier's knackers - with such force that he can never have children - and rolls limply into the bottom corner of the net.
