Yeah the message on the big screen specifically mentioned Sweden and Israel. It seemed deliberately antagonistic, like they've gone too far the other way after the criticism of their decision not to light up Wembley in Israel's colours the other day.
Guess they’ll say it’s a Euro 24 qualifier hence mention of teams that can play in the tournament if they are challenged about it later.

It would be interesting to know if the wording of the minute’s silence was drafted by the FA or UEFA. It was very naive to think the crowd would be fine with it, and it’s shame because a more general statement would’ve led to a well observed silence.
It seems like it's UEFA putting it out:

I know UEFA is "Europe" (and Israel is technically a UEFA member) but you can't include Israel and not Gaza ffs, what were they thinking?

Great run by Udogie.

That's what you get for laying two DMs Southgate. Maddison on for Phillips now ASAP.

I swear that when he first got the job, Southgate was brave an put a lot of faith in the youngsters - although granted, he knew a lot of them from his U21 days.
Now, he just stick the the same old names, no matter how they are playing, if at all.

It's just the same old story of an England manager sticking to his favourites and is exactly what a national manager shouldn't be.

The sooner he fucks off, the better for me.
You're supposed to earn an England shirt, not just be given one because you were decent a couple of years ago.

Italy done nothing to that, but poor defending both in allowing them to get behind, then the marking in the box.

Can't help but think Grealish, Dunk and either Maddison or Gallagher will be annoyed at the selections ahead of them

Just realised that 'Bake off' has been replaced by tonight's match. Personally, I'd prefer 'Bake Off' than 'Sarfgate Football'

He is completely risk averse and reliant on certain players to produce a moment of magic, or fitness to win games. Uninspiring manager reflected by uninspiring choices.

Play Tomori, play Maddison, play Gallagher. All in form, all offering something better than what we have on the pitch. And all more exciting to watch.

someone needs to tell Rashford he's not as good as he thinks he is.

he's not skillful enough to beat 4 people at close quarters every time.

Agreed. We should get one of the youngsters on instead of Bellingham :cautious:

Certainly an improvement on Maguire - but it is an especially low bar to begin with.

Big Ange would be getting 2x out of the talent Southgate has at his disposal

In another life he would be a middle manager in a mid sized stationary business located in Slough
