swear skipp is near 23?

Turns 23 in September. If I'm not mistaken, it depends on how old you are when qualifying starts, so if you are of the age where you can play the qualifying matches then regardless of how old you are when the actual tournament starts you can still play.

I guess they see it as it being harsh playing the qualifying games because you're young enough but then considered too old when the tournament comes around.

Is this thread being used for the U20 tournament in Argentina? Haven’t read back many pages. If it is (and even if it is not), congrats to two THFC Young Lions in the squad, Scarlett and Devine. Dane scored the winner v Tunisia and last night Alfie got an important goal in the 3-2 win over Uruguay.

You can follow it free (live streams, highlights) on the FIFA site.

We've used the Spurs youth thread to talk about those games so far.

Weird that Balogun isn’t in the squad considering the season he’s had. Could it be possible that there are some that are shoe-ins so others have been given a shot in the prep camp instead?

He switched to the USA recently. I guess he thought, probably correctly, he was some way off the squad.

Got to be patient and prove yourself over a long period of time in a better league than Ligue 1 to be considered for the full England squad though. Like you say though he’s probably made the right decision, he’s nowhere near the likes of Watkins, Abraham, Wilson etc

Anyone watching this game against the might of Malta?

Easy nights work for the lads so far as expected.

Shame, I really thought Saka had sustained a career threatening injury. I was just popping the Bollinger when it turned out he was absolutely fine.

Easy night for them, but something just isn't right in that team, just seems unbalanced.

Plus saka seems to think he's passing to Malta, someone remind him he is playing in white for England!

Watch the first half of the game (and little of second half) then gogglebox after, will be more entertaining!

Only watching the England game as my 8 year old is getting into football (playing FIFA mostly as spurs) and watched to watch Kane.

Well that was, fine, I guess?

Professional, worked hard, etc. Was a bit disappointed with Maddison though. Watched to see if there was a spark with Kane and whether he tried to run the game but it just didn't seem to happen for him.

Does he play on the left for Leicester though? I always thought he was more central.

Kane clashed heads with Ristovski and the Macedonian came off worst. Back on with a Terry Butcher.

Dull so far
