You don't think we should have destroyed Tunisia and at least have beaten Belgium? Belgium is a decent team but Tunisia should have been a very easy game. We had an easy group and I personally think we should have been top not 2nd.

If we beat Sweden, I am doubtful we can beat Croatia who are playing well and even more doubtful we can beat either France or Brazil in the final based on how we have played so far. Can't rely on a penalty and defending the lead against those teams.

Tunisia were ranked 14th in the world going into the World Cup, above Columbia, Uruguay, Croatia, Mexico and Sweden.

They also lost 1-0 to Spain after a last minute goal and drew 2-2 with Portugal in the run up to the tournament.

What are you basing it being an easy game on? It was a winnable one and we won.

Reenactment of Southgate's mental stress testing for penalty takers. Harry Kane called in to the test room first -

Yeah, watched that earlier. The chats with ED and KT were interesting. All the England players I've heard interviewed talk constantly about 'the group', 'the team' and Ballugue underlines the no ego, nice guy, extrovert nature of the squad. I think it comes from Southgate, obviously, and I think it's something the THFC contingent will have brought with them. I hope it takes them far.

When you are one goal up you look for another goal and then a third etc, not start defending. Put the game out of reach instead of just protecting a one goal lead. Look at Germany and Brazil when they won their cups. Always looking for more goals not just defending.
That’s just not how football works. If you don’t kill the game off, the other team will throw caution to the wind, as they have nothing to lose. It’s human nature for them to surge forward, and for the winning team to want to protect the lead.

We are all entitled to our opinion and in mine, England has looked terrible in the last 3 world cups including this one. Admittedly we look improved on 4 years ago but still not at the level I think we should be at considering the talent we have available.

You said that we should be at least beating Belgium, do you think England have more talent than Belgium or something?

Like the majority of football fans, we only see parts of the game, we aren’t privy to what instructions have been given.

Henderson has really surprised me actually, I genuinely think he has been superb. He’s worked his socks off, got stuck in, hassled and generally played well. He is limited, but I think he has been excellent as part of the team.

Make no bones about it, Fifa rankings don’t mean shit, just need to look at Germany to realise that there are no easy games. We can go back to games against Albania 0-0 in the World Cup group stages.

To concede at that time, be under pressure during the first half of extra time and pull ourselves up, on penalties was extraordinary.

I didn’t believe we could do it.

Sterling - yes he’s missed a chance here and there but he has done what’s necessary, again I wouldn’t swap him for anyone else, although i’d Rather him and linguard were more wide of that attacking three, to give Alli that free role sat behind Kane - suspect we’d get more creation that way - that’s probably my only gripe, other than Danny Rose not playing over young (young has actually been decent).

Refreshing that this team seem to be playing for each other rather than themselves, it’s what we’ve been asking for, for years.

Sweden in the QTR finals, ain’t gonna be easy but every single fan would have taken that before, even more so to face either Russia or Croatia in the semi finals.

Croatia looked decent against a very poor Argentina but not all that against Denmark.

I for one am absolutely loving this World Cup, i’m Fully behind every player no matter which club they play for, although I was extra nervous and proud of our boys during the shoot out.

All three had absolute crunch pens to take. Kane - to set the ball rolling. Trippier after the miss, and Dier to win. Unreal.

Ok cool, why was Tunisia a very easy game?

All these "only Colombia" posts are delusional. A combined Colombia-England first 11 would be dominated by their players.
