Everton don't have anything to play for against Leicester either way. Would prefer seeing a hungry United to... Ah damn.

Exactly. Everton's season is over. There's nothing for them to play for to get them up for their match against Leicester now. An Everton win would have been much better for us.

I see the sense in that but personally if I was someone like John Stones/ Ross Barkley who was one of the first names on the team sheet I'd try my damnest not to get injured before that final, because I know I'll be in the final no matter how badly I play before then.

Good result anyway, hopefully this gees them up to at least finish strong in the league.

Martinez has dropped both of them before though.

I don't think he would have dropped his best defender in the final, not sure about Barkley. They could have easily coasted to the final, I'm glad that's not an option now. They have to fight for the manager now, because I'm pretty sure he will be sacked if they continue shooting blanks in the league.

Anyway, we will find out how this changes their season soon.

Man Utd getting to the final helps us more than Everton getting there, because I expect them to still be professional against Leicester, Everton not so much if they have a final coming up

The FA Cup pre-show was a bit like a budget Superbowl so maybe we are... bloody hell, it was awful.

Some of LVG's tactical team selections are fucking barmy and the reason why ManU are where they are right now. ManU might win despite them, because ultimately they have a better methodology/coaching and some better individuals but I hope they get what they deserve for applying such poor tactical logic.

Rooney in a CM2 when you have players like Schniederlin and Herera? Fellani as a 10 when you have Rooney?
