Yup, Arsenal have cleared the decks for summer (or they’ve sold all their assets before liquidating. One can dream) and left themselves threadbare. West Ham have completely failed to do any business and face the prospect of juggling the league with Europa. And United now have a dark cloud hanging over them and are down two players. We’ve trimmed some fat and added two players of quality. Undoubtedly come out of January the best off out of the top 4 contenders despite the lack of a striker and RWB.
And in addition to that, as someone mentioned earlier, we also have the best manager. Looking forward to us fighting for that top 3/4 spot.

Usually some of the ITK’s give a summary of the window etc and hint at deals we tried to do if they can do so without compromising anything!

Do we know if that is likely to happen this time around? If not then thanks for all the info @Hercules @Trix @Hotspur88 @What Lies Beneath

Thanks to @dovahkiin for his whoring expertise and all the mods! Servers held up perfectly and the format the final few days with the ITK thread and the ticker was great!

Well those naysayers aside, the ones who spoiled the thread earlier, I thought it was a good window and thought it backed what I perceived as Conte's programme.

Phase 1 . Get rid of those who were not with the programme and get a couple in to compensate for the ones out in the January window. This has also freed up alot of wages - Complete

Phase 2 - Get top four - This is totally in our hands as we do not depend on other results going in our favour - Very do able

Phase 3 - Add the success of phase 1 to that of a successful phase 2, you would have Conte being in a position to go out and spend in the summer window with the knowledge that we are back in the CL, getting the players he wants early not having to depend on getting players out first. This would result in him getting the players he wants for a full pre season training - Success

This would show that the club has backed Conte, where he would now likely to extend his contract

Thanks to all the ITKs for keeping my January very interesting. You all did a good Job. Despite the idiots, I can safely say you are appreciated by the majority.

Ramsey, Aubameyang and Ndombele all shifted due to their ridiculous wages and hardly ever playing.
What a way to run a business.

Is that £2m per month going to bang in a couple of goals if kane picks up his regular second half of season injury?

It’s fine saving that money but we are in a good position in the league. Why not just get another attacker in short term just in case and help push us over the line. Kane is blowing hot and cold, Son coming back from injury and still feeling the effects of covid, Bergwijn picks up injuries every couple of weeks. Our attacking options are very fragile.
Kulu can play there

I understand people being upset because of the ins vs outs ratio but GLC, DA et al that went weren't playing for the team under Conte so how can it be so progressive.
As far as I'm concerned we have increased our actual playing squad by 2.

We have money off the books, plus a lot of whining plyers carrying bad feeling, plus we roll into the Summer transfer window with spare capacity.

Yup echo the thanks to ITK alumni @Trix @What Lies Beneath @Hercules @Hotspur88 for taking the time to share what they hear. Also to @Rob @Archibald&Crooks @Stoof @chrissivad @ever for providing the playground and doing their best to stop us fucking it up. If I missed anyone thems the breaks
You always were a cheap bastard!! that's fine though as i never shared anything and you cant hassle me on the site that shall remain nameless on here! Funny old window and we were royally shafted on Diaz just like we were a few years ago on Fernandes when we thought we had a deal with Sporting. Presidents make the calls with the agents and we did it by the book but that is football transfers in a nutshell.
Sets us up great for Summer window where we will be doing our business as i explained before AC will be supported and backed or else there was no point in bringing him in. No secret that he prefers a smaller tighter squad of people that want to die for him on the pitch and he definitely has that. The RWB has been identified and will be brought in then too. Traore couldn't do what we want at RWB so that's why that didn't happen. Cheers all before i say too much :)

Interesting lack of striker transfers in.

I wonder if the top 4 race will boil down to who avoids injury out of Lacazette, Kane and Antonio.
