Make a change from the usual gobshites they got.

They signed that GK Luke McCormick that killed a family and got done for death by dangerous driving after drinking at a wedding.

Honestly, a lot of Crawley fans were upset at the departure of Hunt. Loveable guy. Hopefully he brings a better atmosphere to Oxford.

Come to think of it, only two players from the Man United FA Cup game are still at the club. What a change in 2-3 years.

I'm going to the 1st home Bristol City game of the season tomorrow - Bradford. Marlon Harewood's just signed, Adomah isn't leaving yet, and Baldock's going to smash it - hopefully. Think it will be a good season for City!

Sean O'Driscoll left Crawley after a matter of weeks last summer. Left us for Forest IIRC.

Didn't know that. I know him as someone who sticks around at clubs, he built up Bournemouth then Doncaster over a period of time. Maybe Forest was a job he felt he had to take, got sacked harshly midseason by new owners but I guess it was karma for walking out on Crawley.

Yeah I only look out for them from afar now, but relegation should be somewhat of a blessing for them. City make big losses and dropping to League One with FFP and the Salary Cap they can hopefully move out high paid but poorly performing players and rebuild with young, hungry, determined ones that they can develop.

If I remember right he left us just before the season, so this is actually Richie Barker's first full pre-season in charge.

Normally I look out for whatever clubs we have players on loan at. should be easier this year with most of them going to Swindon. Adam Smith at Derby of course, think they'll do well this year with a settled squad/manager and could be a dark horse.

I'll be looking out for my two local teams again, Brentford and AFC Wimbledon. Wimbledon survived being relegated back out of the Football League by the skin of their teeth last season. Even being this high in the pyramid after only ten seasons is pretty incredible, but hopefully they can stay up a little earlier this year.

Brentford are second favourites to win the league after Wolves (and I wouldn't be surprised if they struggled a bit, too) although they've lost two of their best players (Simon Moore to Cardiff and Harry Forrester to Doncaster). Brentford really should be in the Championship this season, though.

Be interesting to see how many Cov fans make the trip. I'd like to think quite a few to show support for the club in troubled times, like Plymouth fans did two years ago.

Very good first half between Burnley and Bolton, enjoyed it. Second half hasn't been as good so far.

I live near Oxford so I always look for their results but just so I can rip the piss out of all the deluded Oxford fans (they really are the League 2 lolpool)

Of course with local rivals Swindon taking so many of our loan players and the fact that they are only about 30 mins from me I might take in a game or two of theres this season.

Where about do you live Flynn? I live in Abingdon, My sons football team have a link up scheme with Oxford and get cheap tickets now and again, so keep an eye on their results, but my Dads a Swindon fan so we watch quite a few of their games, maybe 10 or so a season. Even more interest now that they've got half a spurs team down there now!

Cov fans are a bunch of scum. Mini pitch invasion by several during first half. Pathetic.

Sky are calling it a 'protest'. Definitely did not feel like that while watching it unfold. Fans started having a go at Nicky Adams as he went to take a corner on that part of the pitch. Minute or two later stewards bombard them behind the goal and suddenly several fans ran onto the pitch, much to the annoyance of players and home fans. Police in riot gear finally appeared (too late) once everything has calmed down. Lasted for at least 5 or so minutes.

Interestingly, before that one of the Cov fans had already got ejected from the ground, have no idea why though, just remember watching him being led out.

A dozen or so Coventry supporters - frustrated by off-field events at the crisis club - went on to the Broadfield Stadium pitch and held up play for three minutes after seeing their side go 2-0 down midway through the first half.
Commenting on the brief pitch protest, Barker admitted that he was worried for his players' safety at one point.
"While I have sympathy for the plight Coventry find themselves in and feel sorry for the fans, I cannot empathise with the action they took in coming on to the pitch," he said.
Richie Barker on the pitch invasion. Probably a fuller quote somewhere else.

Jenas doesn't even get a start in the championship - what on earth happened to his career.

Can I be so bold to suggest that the Spurs "fans" who booed him every time he entered the pitch broke him?
