Yes, he may be a scout.

But would he ever be a factor in bringing Berbatov to Barcelona?

I doubt it.

The truth is he hasnt invited berba to barce, he has simply said he would sign him, this means next to nothing because Stoichkov doesnt have the power

in Triball Football its not the whole deal , the original source is GONG - Trusted Source in Bulgarian Media ---> http://gong.bg/view_article.php?article_id=45401

Translation : Hristo Stoichkov officialy invited Dimitar Berbatov in Barcelona. "The Dagger " (Stoichkov`s nickname ) said that his friend Berbatov is welcomed in SPain. Stoichkov said that he is talk with Berbatov and Berbatov is agreed to go in Barcelona if offer being made. Stoichkov is very good friend with Joan Laporta and Laporta told Stoichkov that he is is very likely to buy Berbatov because Eto`o is goind to be sold and Henry not doing his job very well, and after the fiasco in Real Madrid and Maiorca they would sign a new striker and miedfielder

Please, tell me WHERE on Earth you find this in the article?! You changed the meaning of the whole article with this sentence which does NOT exist.

Thank you for proving to us that Doctor Who is talking out of an orifice that does not normally speak, not for the first time either.

That poster is the classic example of a Bulgarian who knows 'what's best for Berbatov' (or what would put the greater spotlight on Bulgarian football), which there seem to be quite a lot of about, and this one in particular likes to wind us up as much as possible.

I just want to say that Berbati wasn't a pure Bulgarian :D
However, Berbatov apparently is far from thinking about Barcelona and Stoichkov now, these days he appears everywhere but nothing is football related.

Surely this is just a translation error?... ie Stoichkov 'inviting' Berbs means he'd welcome him joining Barca? Because if he was just inviting him, doesn't mean he'll go...

You also told us that the reason Petrov went to City was that we'd made him a rubbish offer, and that he'd said so on Bulgarian TV. No-one else has claimed this. Could you provide a link to the interview?

I think your English is quite good enough. And if you're posting on an English forum, post in English. If I'm visiting France, I speak French.
