I'd almost hit 100 when the page refreshed because I scrolled up too fast. Not bothering with that until BBC manage to fasten the answer box to the top of the screen no matter how far down the page you've got.

I know this because I literally just listened to the Totally Football Show episode where this came up.
It was the 97/98 season and it was Attilio Lombardo for Crystal Palace.

It is. He started out as caretaker but when hired permanently he was still a few months younger than Vialli who held the record previously.
