Was great seeing him coming on yesterday with his experince. I'd say he was extremely important for us to able to come away with a win.

Sign him!

Yup, totally agree, he didn't fluff the shot, he was trying to pass it on - for the PERFECT goal.......and it would've been if it had come off!! :)

But yeah you guys are absolutely right, Eidur is definitiely what we've been missing.
He can play upfront or drop back into midfield - we tried that with Keano, but it didn't quite work out, whereas it seems so natural for Eidur.

Lets get him signed up for sure!

Very quick thinking player! - Almost Sheringham-esque!

Yup. I do like Keane but Gudjohnsen is like all the best qualities of Keane but without all the drama and histeronics.

I was a bit sceptical that he'd be a good signing but he's already shown a lot of promise. I don't think i'd mind swapping Keane for Guddy.

Very good at coming on, being able to hold on to the ball a bit more, and coming a little deeper to shore up midfield. Not too sure how effective he is from the start. Admittedly did well against Stoke, but I think he drops a bit too deep at times (and given our midfield struggle to get past the forwards, it leaves us lacking upfront).

If Keane does go, and I wouldnt be surprised if he did, then Eidur would be a good, cheap option for a 4th striker. I get the feeling he is more content being a team player in terms of selection, giving way to youngsters or more favourable players than Keane would be.

I text Flatters yesterday at half time saying we should try and nick a second then bring him on to slow the game down. Worked a treat. His cool head along with Modric in the middle really helped in the end of the game when we were under lots of pressure.

If only we could find a really good intelligent striker who could play up front on his own and could also play off Eidur.
Pav is probably the best bet at the minute.

I have the feeling things will work out against Chelski as they did last night, us taking the lead and then try to soak up pressure for the rest of the game. So I reckon Eidur should be used in the same way again and as often happens in the prem he'll probably score against his former club.
