Lazzari is the obvious choice

He'd be an interesting addition. Sarri has openly said he doesn't need him, saying he's not defensive enough in his 4-3-3, but as a wing back, he'd be freed from some of those responsibilities. He scored today, his only goal involvement of the year (though, he hasn't really been playing much). But last season, he chipped in with two goals and six assists. Seemingly available for about €20m , so this could be a good option.

So now Traore isn't necessarily looking a strong possibility...

If that is who Conte wants, and is very affordable, I'm absolutely lost for words...

He was blatantly a club signing. They wanted him before for Nuno and blatantly pushed him forwards as a rwb for Conte. Our scouting department did the same for Bergwijn with Mourinho.

Nothing like Doc - he is very attacking and lightning quick. Quite small in stature though so not sure how he would fair with the physicality of the prem.

Simmer down , if we sign Traore we sign him, I'm not particularly a fan and despite what's out there I feel he would be a club signing, we clearly chased him in the summer b4 Conte appeared. Links to him via Conte at other clubs might not necessarily be true , it's the internet after all, 99% of it is bullshit. Either way I have no faith in our scouts, our summer dealings still have plenty to prove, though would have high hopes for Romero, slightly less for Gil and not much for Emerson as a right wing back.
I'm sure Conte wants the best he can get, let's see can he succeed in emptying DL pocket where do many others have failed, roll on Feb 1st

I do wonder what hold up is this window. Conte and Paratici have both mentioned the squad not being at the required level, and yet, we see no movement. There are currently bargains to be had due to contracts, players that would improve us, and still no movement from us. It does seem like we are holding back in case we are forced to move for our top target, DV. Therfore £10million here, £12million there, £5million etc all adds up to the significant amount for one top player. I know there has been talk of the shares and cash coming in, but surely, if we wanted to, we could pull the trigger for Kessie/De Vrij/Traore/Dybala etc etc?

Yes I think we're keeping our powder dry and watching this DV situation

Kessie, De Vrij and Dybala would all be free transfers that join new teams in July. Who knows if Paratici is already got some of those lined up for us. Kessie is at the ACN anyway.

Players joining us now will be purchases, and I’m sure Conte and Paratici will bring in at least two players based on the ITK.
