As alisdair gold reported earlier we want to loan adama with obligation to buy so we can use funds elsewhere. That’s the key point people are not absorbing. We may not want to use funds on adama to ensure we can seal one or two other targets. We prob have a set budget we need to divide up effectively

Our budget can't be great, if we're trying defer £15m(?) (Assuming a fee of 20m and a loan fee of 5m) until the summer

Sell to buy isn’t always about not having funds. It could easily be more that we want are trying to trim a bloated squad before bringing new players in. It really weakens our negotiating stance if clubs know we’re desperate to rid.

We made next to no money from our outgoings in the summer. Whilst spending money on those we brought in. We’re not the kind of club who can continue that pattern each transfer window.
You’re being too sensible and talking sense - that’s not how this thread works ?

Maybe the Adama transfer is not seen as our first priority at the moment, could that be the case?

And if the opportunity opens up again I have a feeling that the offer remains and we are able to still have the 20£ to put into the higher priorities, if we are not able to offload the Ronald Mcdombele, DelePie, and AkillesCalfWijn

Mate, why do you feel the need to come up with such childish nicknames for our players?
OK, they may not be hitting the highs we'd hoped they would but there's really no need for petty name calling. We're not in the playground.

According to local Brighton press Chris Powell was watching 19 year old Lewis winger Ollie Tanner yesterday who apparently trained with us last week. Lots of interest in him were 10 other scouts there from PL and Championship.

Tasty free kick from said game.

Can someone send the link to Harry?

You would think the closer we get to the end of the window, the harder it is to buy decent players because the other club can’t find a replacement in time. Hopefully I’m way off the mark here but I can’t help but think we are already almost out of time.

It wouldn’t surprice me that we would like to get some of our high earning low contributing players off the books first. Alli and Ndombele come first to mind. Price of a player is not necessery the big issue. If that is the case i hope we see something happening soon.

But if we need that £15m now for another transfer that would stupid right? We should just spend all our money now because we can. That’s how sensible wealthy people do it.

You can sit on your money waiting for the best deal, but if that deal doesn’t materialise then all you’ve done is sit on your money. Sometimes you have to take the risk. Sometimes it’s right, sometimes its wrong. Doing nothing is also a decision.
