Different situation though, Antony was already rated at about EUR35m before the summer. So yes at EUR75m Man Utd definitely overpaid for him but with Ten Haag going to Utd it was fairly obvious that Ajax could hold out for a higher amount.

With Kudus he is valued at around EUR15m at the moment and the manager situation doesn't come into play. He's also about the only remotely decent player his agent has on his books, so the chances of an agent wanting a big payday are there as well. I think both the player and agent will push for a move and then it will just be a case of which club pays up. I reckon he'll go for about EUR40m.
On the strength of his Champions League and now World Cup performances, I can see the price being closer to 60m personally. I can see a PSG, Real Madrid, Barca (if they keep finding money in the couch cushions somehow), Chelsea or Man City giving it to them. Sucks but I think we're probably out of it even though he'd be an excellent addition to our squad.

Not necessarily. We just have to show our commitment to signing (and then playing) him.
And renumerate him and Ajax well enough
We’ve been able to sign big potential players before- they can’t all go to the super clubs

Keeping an eye on Giminez tonight , as well as Bentancur, think he could be an option at CB. Especially after AM dropped out of Europe.

We need to be bold post World Cup as Utd and Liverpool are going to flush with American or Middle East cash come the summer. This could be our last boat to push out before the super yachts leave us behind for good

That's being said every year.

Quite liked the look of the South Korean RB today. His delivery was excellent, nearly every ball in was dangerous. We must be able to find an upgrade on Emerson

Watching Portugal and I still feel like a Neves type player would really transform us. Just someone who loves to play a pass with the ability to match in our midfield would add so much. Just seen he's only 25 as well, really thought he was a few years older. Seems a little bit more tenacious than your typical creative player too.

Should we be worried if we’re not gonna spend while Kane and Conte’s contracts are up in the air. Or when guys say not spend are we talking Gvridol prices
