i think i am in a tiny minority of one who thinks it would be good to sell kaboul.

I have never rated him and think he is a poor footballer with poor distribution poor reading of the game and very poor positional sense.

so can all you kaboul lovers please explain why you would keep him.

yes he is good in the air, yes he scored the winner at the new highbury and yes he has played for france (but bent plays for england!!!) but that apart i cannot see anything to keep him. he is not a leader of men he is not a great tackler he is not my cup of tea.

so come on and persuade me of all his attributes and why he should not be sold to PSG or anywhere else.

1. He is good in the air.
2. He is good on the ball.
3. He is powerful and strong.
4. He is brave.
5. He clearly has ability.

oh yes this again!

I think that 90% of spurs fans think he's quality. Obv some people are still not going rate him - like they didnt/dont rate BAE. But time will tell and I'm sure that he will become a very good defender and important player for our squad in the coming seasons.

agree with all of this but you missed ou

6. scored the winning goal away to the scum - instant legend status :)

Kaboul is quite clearly a quality defender and can cover the right back slot when needed , selling him twice would be idiotic

yes i mentioned the goal to arsenil

a quality defender - you fail to explain

cover right back yes but behind hutton corluka walker naughton gallas who can all play in that position

selling him twice would be idiotic - so we keep keane and defoe and crouch then,

and thornton spur goes 2-0 up

For that comment alone you look very silly. You are saying you have come on looking for an argument? oh dear

no arguement a bit of fun asking people to defend someone who i think is not good enough

and so far the defence has been pitiful to be honest

so kaboul is a better right back than all those mentioned :eek:mg:

making up comments to help out your argument i see? not cool! I dont remember anyone saying that. I do remember reading that Gallas and Naughton are above Kaboul in the RB pecking order though which made me laugh as its based on nothing!

er i think you ll find you claimed they were all ahead of him which clearly isnt the case.

oopsie. I can defend him anyway, he is good on the ball, powerful, strong and improving all the time. Is any of that wrong? Nope! No he is not the complete CB, but he is a player who has made remarkable progress from his first spell with us and one i would like to keep. Your opinion may be different, but what you dont seem to grasp is that doesnt mean your opinion is right!

I'm just wondering if your perception of him is coloured by his performances last season, when he was returning from injury? He wasn't at his best then, but when he came into the side at the end of the season before, he played a big role in helping us qualify for the champions league. He was outstanding at right back.

He has a lot of great attributes, as Chimbo lists above. Excluding King, for obvious reasons, when all our defenders are fully fit, I would have him in our first choice back four - if Gallas is playing, then I would have him at right back. Given that Gallas is pushing on and may need to be rested from time to time, I would then have Younes in CB along with Michael Dawson.

I would also have him in my back 4. With everyone fit i would go with King and Dawson with Gallas as back up/rotating with King. I would then have Walker and Kaboul fighting for the RB spot as I rate both above Corluka and Hutton.

agree with all the above and its all about opinions - IMHO he is a shite RB and they are all better than him maybe not naughton to be fair.

as i mentioned before he gets so out of position and at RB thats criminal.

you're assuming that your "argument" has put you 1 up.

It hasn't

no it hasnt the poor arguement in his defence up to that point put me one up

what surprises me is that people see him as a RB with his poor positonal sense. I can see him as back up at CB where people can cover for his lack of this positional awareness. King dawson gallas are clearly ahead of him as will the new boy when he comes in.

i hope im wrong but if people would have him as starting in the back four then IMHO we are in for a struggle.

it doesn't put anyone 1 up.

Im sure there are a few in here that think the opening statement is a poor argument with nothing to back it up.

So far its just peoples opinions that have been discussed so noone is 1 up or 1 down.

The poster was sayingsellin him twice would be idiotic because of his obvious quality, not the fact it is stupid to do something twice, this is a consideration that doesn't apply to Keane, Defoe and Crouch at this poit in time.

Of course thornton spur goes 2-0 up, thornton spur is judging the scoring system here, at present I'm banking on a clean sheet for thornton spur.
